People seem to know what keys go to what doors. Can we randomize that piece as well to make it harder?

Only when the game is starting to wind down to its end is it obvious which keys go where. Otherwise only the labeled keys are easy to guess, as most of the time the players run around trying to unlock random doors in hopes they find the right door, especially if it's while they have a ravenous monster at their heels.

I played with someone that knew which key type worked on most doors.

Key types(rusty, metal, etc) are random as far as I can tell. The only ones that aren't have labels on them(like kitchen, bar, etc) and I like that those are thrown into the mix. It's fun to find the "bar key" and then know exactly where to go for a change. I could maybe see an option that turns all keys into rusty keys, making it impossible to tell them apart, but only as an extra option that can be turned off.
