Maybe not scarrier, but still i think it's not a bad idea.

Make Hardcore mode available:

1. When a friendly player dies, it doesn't say "xxxx" player has died
2. Random screams -> like when a player dies, but since there is no text showing if a player dies, you will never be sure if the monster got him or not
3. Locked gamma to .75
4. Random "monster apearing", not the real monster, but something that would apear and disapear for one second around corners and such-> this would create alot of panic :P. Randomly around the map at a random frequency.

New monster: Werewolf

3 forms, Ghost, human and werewolf.

Ghost form alows him to move around faster while he waits for a random trap to trigger. While in werewolf he can " smell " players. While that effect activates he can run a little faster than the walk, but still not faster than the player while he uses sprint. This would give him 1.90 -2.10 seconds "sprint".

He can take the human form only while he's a werewolf ( not available as an spawning option while in ghost ). And- He can asume a human form only if he saw a survivor up to 5 seconds ago.

Imagine if a werewolf is chasing you, you turn around to see where he is, turn the camera away and run a little more, turn the cam around to see where he is and u see a human, you can't be sure if he's human or werewolf :P... that would create scary moments where u walk into a room and u see a survivor but you're not sure if he's the werewolf or the survivor.

While in human form -> clicking the middle mouse button would start a transformation -> hopefuly they can make the character look like he's transforming with their engine- Transformation would take 2 seconds, after it's complete he gets a "buff" that gives him increased speed -> again less than the human sprint but faster than the walk.

Also, he could walk around for 1 minute after spawning ( or more or less, depending if that would make him op or balanced :P )

If you have any other ideas about the werewolf, or how to improve my idea about him, feel free to add :)

Ignore the first line of text, i forgot to delete that after changing the title :)

The idea of having someone amongst the survivors be a killer would be a nice game mode, but would he need 3 forms?
Human and Werewolf would be cool enough :)

And paranoia would be a huge factor here. Go alone with someone or stick together at all time?

Well i think if he was constantly around, no de-spawn time, that would make him OP :P...

Ah yea, would be cool if he had a "howl" emote or something when he shapeshifts, or even while he's shapeshifted :P... It would basicaly do nothing besides scaring other people ^^.
This forum seems dead :o

Well yeah, if all you think about is killing then the game mode isn't for you. I have A LOT of fun with friends and with them such a mode would be gold :D

My suggestion would be the survivors would have a means of killing the werewolf if they knew who it was. They only have one "shot" at killing the Werewolf, so using it on someone they don't know is the Werewolf would be killing themselves.
The guy who was elected to be the Werewolf would maybe not know it from the start, but slowly "hear" it, like suddenly being able to sense the other players through heartbeats. Seeing them through walls. Wouldn't be cheating, when all you wanted to do is kill them in the end.
Also a way of making him "know" he's it, could be slowly getting longer fingernails or fur on your hand(flashlight).

Many things to be discussed if such a mode would be available, but some kind of Trouble in Terrorist Town game mode in a horror environment would be AWESOME to play with friends :D and strangers, when push to talk is implemented.

And yes, the forum is a bit dead, since the game is out on Steam as well. Most don't know about this place.

Yeah, i was thinking about Trouble in Terrorist Town when i made this :P.... Yeah i've moved on the steam forum and started posting suggestions there since there are more people out there ^^. You can go check it out on steam discussions. Made two more monster suggestions there. The thread is called:

I love the idea of having a human appearing monster, even help out the players would be excellent, to toy with them
but for this to work the in-game TAB menu would need to be changed
oh man that be great, like your ideas!
