Invasion of New York
The world has been ravaged by a series of climatic disasters and society is on the verge of total breakdown. Now the aliens have returned, with a full invasion force bent on nothing less than the total annihilation of mankind, starting by trying to rip the heart out of Earth's most iconic city.
In New York, terrifying alien invaders stalk the streets and a nightmare plague strikes down the city's myriad inhabitants with brutal epidemic speed. The city's systems are in chaos, its streets and skyline are smashed and in flaming ruin. This is New York City like you've never seen it before.
Neither paramilitary law enforcement nor the might of the US military machine can stand against the invaders, and all who choose not to flee are dead men walking. Just to survive in this maelstrom of death will require technology beyond anything any modern soldier has ever seen. One man will inherit that means to survive.
One supersoldier, wielding the combat enhancement technology of the future with Nanosuit 2, will make the last stand to save humanity from destruction in the urban jungle that is New York City.

However we will release what we have in a few days, this is the most stable build we have which doesn't crash or kick players from the server as soon as they engage in combat with the AI. However it is rare that you will make it to the end of the level without at least one player being booted from the server by the cheat system.
The second reason is we are now working on a new project with a new team which is demanding the vast majority of our free time.( Indiedb.com ) We thank you for understanding.

Sorry that you have waited so long for so much more than we could achieve, sadly it was simply impossible to achieve what we were aiming for with the limitations the game presented us with.
FAQ:
Q: Will the cheat system effect my Crysis 2 account, will I be banned from any other servers?
A: No.
Q: Does this mean you won't be working on Crysis Wars Co-op anymore?
A: No, we are still working on Crysis Wars co-op, albeit slower due to other projects.
Q: What files will you provide in the release?
A: We will include the multiplayer converted map spear, along with the lua files we used to create the AI. There is also some additional flowgraph setup required due to some functions that weren't available in LUA.
Q: Can people with no clue what lua is play this release?
A: If you know how to launch a community dedicated server, then you and your friends can still play what's in the release.
Q: If someone found a way to disable the anti-cheat system would you come back to this project?
A: Possibly

This game is nothing like the previous Crytek games at all. Much less freedom (smaller levels), an IMO crappy story (after finishing the campaign I still had the feeling I was playing the intro) and it lacks the "WOW!" factor FarCry and Crysis had. The gameplay itself is decent though, so it isn't a bad game per se. It just didn't meet my expectations of a Crytek game. The AI/pathfinding also seems to be buggy at times and some badly placed invisible barriers and bugging scripts ruined the immersion…

An overall good game, with awesome graphics and a good story, but it's supposed to be a sequel to Crysis, which it fails to be. Why? Because Crysis was a fun, fast-paced game. It was sometimes challenging, sometimes easy, but it was mostly fun. Crysis 2 on the other hand, is not fun. Enemies have an improved AI which, although it's preferred to the rather stupid enemies of Crysis, makes them a pain in the ass to deal with. Despite that they just back-stabbed us by downgrading crysis 2 to make it console friendly? Crysis and crysis warhead excelled at graphic, gameplay and storyline. The second mostly doesn't even follow crysis storyline, have poor game mechanic except for the new move(air stomp, stealth kill and slide) and most of the cool stuff you had in crysis is gone(kick *** vehicle , large map etc.) For example, wtf happened to nommad, psycho and the dr whatever. where are the original aliens and what the heck happened to the sphere. Also in crysis 2, they don't have epic weapons such as the original railgun which had more ammo and which you could find ammo for it(and snipe at a extremely long range which was kinda fun), the minigun, and the end game weapons such as the tac-nuke laucher and the plasma cannon. Furthermore in crysis 2 you don't have much liberty to explore around and you don't have as many as many vehicle.Although,I must admit civilian car is not much of a loss because their only use is road kill and payload delivery(load the car with c-4). I would have like at least 1 map with airborne combat. While I do respect crytek and still think crysis 2 is a good game, crysis 2 is a mere shadow of what the original was.
sidenote: when I say crysis I include warhead with it.
