This project represents a high quality game in the genre of post-apocalypse, game set in the well-known universe of S.T.A.L.K.E.R.
This model is just great! Really! But...
Will this AK47 be the only AK-rifle in your project, or there will be some other AK's like 74 or any other?
We Already have Ak-74 and AK-CY. AKM is not planned...
Strange to choose the AK-47 and not the AKM. But HEY I AM NOT COMPLAINING! AK-47 is very beautiful and it still remains a classic and historic weapon! Its a legend after all! Very beautifully done and high attention to detail. ^.^
Well, I don't know which is used more often, but you seem to know quite much about russian firearms :D From that I know, it seems that the AKM is an improved version of the AKM, so you can actually call it AKM-47 :D
But I'd really like to see the AKM, since it is also very available and not too special.
I think what he's trying to say is the AKM is an improved version of the AK-47. I've never heard anyone refer to it as an "AKM-47" but I kinda see what he's gettin at.
Regardless I think either one should only be found in small numbers considering how scarce 7.62x39mm ammo is since the Slavs adopted the 5.45mm
Yes very true, what I was trying to get across was that AKM is improved version of AK-47 released to Soviet armed forces around 1959. It was then replaced by much loved, and still used AK-74. AKM and AK-47 are hardly used in Russian Federation anymore. AK-12 will however allow for the use of 7.62x39mm caliber again. (And of course AK-12 can be fitted with a different barrel to accomplice use of 5,56x45mm NATO or 5,45x39mm WARSAW ammunition.)
You should include the glorious Mosin-Nagant! :D
Actually, I think it would be good if you would allow for some modding after the release (which technically shouldn't be too hard, considering the Cry Engine 3 being quite accessible). The community will certainly be interested in creating additional modern or classic weapons and enriching the existing arsenal.
Keep up the good work!
Great detail work, that's impressive.
Like that worn in line the fire selector runs along on the receiver, the wood looks a little too preserved for the zone though, maybe get some pitting in the barrel, outstanding though otherwise.
Looks well modeled, just maybe the case texture looks a bit lower res as opposed to the weapon ones.
