You wake up in a dark alley, not knowing anything. What has happened anyway? You struggle after the truth and answers. Answers you want to know in the darkness and fear, which makes your heartbeat race like violent blows against your head. Where do "they" come from? What has happened? Are you just turning insane? The time is up; you can't stay there reading your smses forever. It's time to head out and find the answers. Cry of Fear is a singleplayer modification of Half-Life 1 which brings you the horror you've always been afraid of. It's a total conversion of Half-Life 1, which means it uses NO Half-Life 1 content or other peoples' files. It's all made exclusively by the developers. It also uses new gaming styles that you will rarely find in Half-Life mods, such as advanced cutscenes and other stuff that will be revealed at a later date.

Just like in HL2...
Seriously, this will make the gameplay more fun. It will make the enemies die slowly and this way the player can save ammo.

Or it might attract unwanted attention from something that might be even nastier.
But the thought of burning them with the flare sounds like a very sweet last-moment thing.

its not really realistic to throw a flare at someone and burst up in flames like they're covered in gasoline.

So then they will make a gasoline weapon then you can mix there happy?

liking the radius of the flare, hoping the duration is decent, not the EP1 30 second ones.

Supply us with plenty of flares and limited flashlight battery, that will make us think twice before we advance.

Can you duel wield just flares, like you can with pistols? That would be hilarious, two hands full of burning justice.

You can dual wield with flares, just not 2 flares at the same time. It's uh... a fire hazard or something.

Can you stun enemies with flares just like in Silent Hill: Shattered Memories? I really think setting them on fire is unrealistic.

Actually, I had an idea while typing this:
How about throwing flares to distract enemies who are attracted to light? this contributes to a stealthy style of gameplay. What do you think?

Not only attracted to light... but for some reason decide that it looks tasty... I dunno

Awesome flares that we've lately created. You can carry them in your hand, throw them away, or even dual wield them to any weapon.
