You wake up in a dark alley, not knowing anything. What has happened anyway? You struggle after the truth and answers. Answers you want to know in the darkness and fear, which makes your heartbeat race like violent blows against your head. Where do "they" come from? What has happened? Are you just turning insane? The time is up; you can't stay there reading your smses forever. It's time to head out and find the answers. Cry of Fear is a singleplayer modification of Half-Life 1 which brings you the horror you've always been afraid of. It's a total conversion of Half-Life 1, which means it uses NO Half-Life 1 content or other peoples' files. It's all made exclusively by the developers. It also uses new gaming styles that you will rarely find in Half-Life mods, such as advanced cutscenes and other stuff that will be revealed at a later date.

Also, love the swedish police uniforms! This is gonna be such an amasing experience for everyone, but especially us swedes! :)

First and foremost teamkillers - essentially only asshats.

Turning on friendly fire is only good when you play a teamgame with bots that might get stuck here and there and need some "help".

Epic. But I'd like it if CPR couldn't save people's lives in every case. Maybe for drowning, and stuff, but if I shoot somebody with a tank, CPR shouldn't be possible. Great job either way! The sky's the limit with you guys.

Fine, what if I take a gun, and shoot you in the head (assuming that friendly fire is on). You will die. You won't be able to survive that, will you? Again, I was only giving examples. You could be drowned to death, shot in the head, or Godzilla could step on your head, those are ALL examples.

You would be surprised how much people you COULD revive with CPR as most people don't die from the incident itself but from shock - there is a slim chance that you could revive a shock victim even after severe traumata... surviving afterwards is another story - organs failing, blood loss, yadda yadda...

No limit on CPR but Minuit said: "You can perform CPR on a dead character once. After that, you're dead permanently. "
I guess you can do CPR unlimited times, but you can only "die" once...

Edit: Forget it I just saw a reply saying that you can die unlimited times...

Oh sweet. Flashlight is on the body.

I love games where your source of light is visable / doesn't appear out of no where...I also like holding a flashlight, but what I hate about that is how you switch between it and weapons...annoying, so I like flash-lights on guns, more.

Minuit
Minuit Mar 6 2011, 11:05am replied:

Yeah, you see your flashlight in your hand in SP, that's what dual wield is for (although you can find a taclight for your Glock too) but in coop you can't dual wield, hence why we decided that the flashlight shouldn't affect your weapons.

So, more than two players, eh? Just make sure you don't have the entire Swedish police force packed into a single hallway, as that would be... well, not scary.

Also, I see that fancy lockblade knife, try to make sure you use it as less of a melee weapon, and more of a tool. If you stab a creature with it, they should stumble, allowing you to escape. This would keep you from getting cornered by a single creature. Multiple, repeated stabs would not cause it to stumble, as then you could just constantly stun a monster and murder it with ease.

I would also suggest dividing players up at the start, like, into teams of two if there are 4-6 players. That way you would need to check your fire and avoid shooting at shadows.

-Hope I helped, DH.
