Crawle is a sandbox dungeon crawler with a focus on realistic survival using mechanics such as hunger, thirst, diseases and wilderness survival such as creating your own tools, skinning animals for meat and fur and using the resources around you to stay alive.

- An in-depth survival system based on hunger, thirst, sanity and energy.
- Dungeons that can be looted for gems, armour and weapons.
- Many difficulty options including an option to turn off the interface altogether.
- Health is based off your blood content and the damage to your body parts. You can also bleed out.
- Animals do not despawn, instead they can be skinned, picked up and taken to your house or just left to rot.

The big release patch is finally done. The most significant changes in this patch is the new seasons system, the ability to finally craft the Rusted Armour and all of the massive bug fixes for multiplayer (which finally allow you to do combat with animals).

The full changelog for this release is available here. It's a bit too long to post here unfortunately but the major highlights are below.

Major highlights

A new seasons system has been added. This system will include all four seasons and will have season-specific effects on both your world and your character. In winter, the days are shorter, trees die faster and your temperature goes down a lot faster. During spring time there's an increased chance of rain meaning faster crop growth among other things. Throughout summer you'll experience longer days and your temperature will go up a lot faster. Finally during autumn trees will begin to die and pumpkins will begin to grow.

Another massive addition is the ability to finally put together the Rusted Armour and Rusted Blade. These were added in both 0.6.0 as rare chest drops. Now, you can craft them by dragging one of the required pieces onto an anvil. If you have the other pieces (the other two in the case of the blade and the other three in the case of the armour) then the item will be crafted.

But that's not all! There's loads of major bug fixes for multiplayer and singleplayer too (with a focus on multiplayer though). The result of these fixes are a much better multiplayer experience as well as the ability to finally do combat with animals and other NPCs.

Thanks for all the support throughout the development process. Crawle was our first commercial project and we feel like we've learned a lot about pretty much everything over the two years we've been working on it. We hope you all enjoy this release!

FREAKING MINECRAFT RIPOFFS! I know it doesn't seem like Minecraft, but the creator obviously got the idea from Minecraft.

I'm sorry, but you assume Minecraft is the origin of sandbox games. Think again, there were many sandbox games that came before Minecraft, and as a result, inspired Minecraft to start with.

And besides, if you read about the gameplay, you'd find the gameplay is completely different from Minecraft. Minecraft has seriously rushed RPG elements, this is based more or less entirely around RPG elements.

Before trollin', get your facts right. :D

I guess in order to make a good game, the developers must have never seen or played any other game.
Also, Crawle has pretty much no similar features to Minecraft aside from random generation.

I've played Minecraft twice since it first appeared. Once in the 'Adventure Mode update' once in 1.0.

I disliked it. I personally think it is one of the worst games ever made but also one that was lucky enough to get into a market due to a niche.

I've also said it before, I don't care about whether or not people think I'm stealing Minecraft or whatever they'd like to think, I'm just trying to make a decent game.

But since you'd like to look like an idiot in front of everyone maybe you'd like to know that this game is inspired more so by Terraria and Haven & Hearth, two games me and my pixel artist enjoy.

Also last I checked Minecraft doesn't have randomly generated actual dungeons with mazes, loot, bosses. It hasn't got a huge survival element to it and there is no point to it.

It does >.> Just an FYI, if you are going to trash talk another game, and feed the trolls, at least do it right. Best way to beat trolls is ignore them, they strive for attention.

I know the type, he won't try anything :P. And no, I'm not trash talking minecraft. I just personally don't like the path they've gone down with a game that could of had infinite possibilities.

Also, it has a square room with a mob spawner and chest with wheat and saddles in it, I'd hardly call that epic ;)

you should make your terrain variations less square.

I've like 99% finished corners. Also the map hasn't got many seeds on it so the variation is pretty low.

At the moment I'm making sure that I make a good game, making a good looking game is the easy part.
