Critical Point: Incursion is a standalone game created with Epic Games' Unreal Development Kit. Incursion is a semi-realistic, arcade-like first-person shooter combining tactical gameplay with arcade-style speed.Utilising a wide variety of modern weaponry and set in fantastically rendered locations, the Mercenaries and Special Forces meet at a critical point! In a rush-based mode as seen in first-person shooters such as CoD4, Battlefield 3, Counter Strike and TO:AoT, teams are given level-specific objectives in round-based scenarios! CP:I is aimed at a large player base, offering a huge platform for competitive clan and league play, allowing individuals to shine and capture their glory regardless of how many hours they have played. It accentuates skill vs luck, aiming vs spraying, etc. We differ from the competition by having no unlockables, no RPG's, claymores, tanks, jets or other vehicles. Just PURE infantry combat action!!

Dear all,

Yes, I am afraid to tell you that we found some anomalies in the cash flow and after further probing and -depth testing of our systems, it has become clear that CP:I has been laundering players money inventory in-game!

It was not quite clear and apparent what was going on, just a “feeling” of the money never really increasing or being correct – but we could not see why. Even on a good check over everything was okay, our system was deducting money when buying weapons and compensating the player when selling them. So what was the problem?

It took a further week to realise that this was only happening in certain states (player changing teams for example!) and our cash flow system was robbing just a small amount on each transaction. Yes, can you believe it – CP:I was laundering small amounts!
Anyhow, we can all now laugh about it when looking back, but in fact this was a pain in the butt and we wanted to highlight the joys of programming a game in such a complex environment with a variety of states and replications going on in the background.

We are still working away and are now taking the opportunity to improve/ refactor and optimise the buyzone completely.

Hey guys I just had a quick question about the weapon mechanics. Is there going to be a long and short reload?

we have 2 different reload times, one for when the weapon is totally empty and one when it is chambered. Now we are only talking about a second or two in total - but that minor variation will be the difference between dying or not..

So perhaps switching to the pistol is better in the heat of the moment

Nice game! but it's a "copy" of CS but in general is good, i love the maps but the game need a bit more of inovation. BTW I'm Tracking ;D

well i never thought of it as like CS because it has own uniqueness than other games just like the Male And Female Models and the weapons more likely uniq and the textures that is so soft maybe it has something to do with there Game Engine call
Unreal Engine and the engine it self is so very very beautiful more effects shinier lighting and soft textures but you need more updated system for your computer aswell i like the idea of the game men keep up the nice job

CS but faster.. perhaps :-)
no hit penalty, so if you are shot you can still move.

It's not so realistic in terms of the hit damage, so there are no "1 shot kills" which in my opinion in CS makes it much more "tactical" and campy, since its easier to kill people, people then tend to be more defensive and cautious.

CP:I is faster, allows you to move and play freely without worrying about your accuracy being affected by reloading, aiming, jumping or running.

Then you should have aimed for a more futuristic style.

But who knows, maybe will there be a mod some day. ;)
