Feb 27, 2013 Counter-Strike: Zombie Extermination Patch 7 commentsPATCH FOR CS:ZE : CHANGES: - Updated Deagle's Sounds - Changed Radio sounds - fixed some animation problems
Right now, there are people all over the world playing Counter-Strike: Source. Odds are, there are more people playing today than there were playing yesterday. It, like its predecessor, is quite simply a global phenomenon, originally created by and now sustained by the gaming community.
Counter-Strike: Source is a remake of Counter-Strike, and consequently retains all of its team-based objective-oriented first-person-shooter style gameplay. CS:S is a must-have for every action gamer.

Snake-Eater2k6, it is true CS:S is sold as a separate game, but if you take a ponder at how the file system is set up, CS:S still cannot run unless the small HL2 program files are present. Hence, CS:S is still a mod.
Though I dont think it is impossible to mod a mod. Nothing technologically says you cant, and nothing in the English language says you cant either. Unless I've missed something in my thinking.
CS : S is now a fully fledged stand alone game and has been since 1.6, if you didnt notice they do sell it stand alone for £20 at any game shop numnuts
bluedrake is correct CS and CS:S are mods of there older brothers HL and HL2 these "mods" as you would call them are infact add-ons.
in the same way that adding a new skin to a model is an add-on, adding extra gameplay is an add-on so zombie is an add-on for CS:S not a mod.
What you said is absolutely incorrect. There aren't any (as of yet, some are / may be in developement) traditional mods, but many servers run things like RPG mod, Deathmatch mod, Zombie mod, Gun-Game mod, Warcraft mod, Superhero mod (dunno if there is one for CS:S), etc. While only some of these change models, weapons, etc, they all alter gameplay to the point where they are refered to as mods.
If you played CSS at all you would of course already know this...
the best css server in latvia are css.netgames.lv welcome all
Counter-Strike is a mod itself, if there were going to be a mod using Source engine it would be for Half-Life 2 and it's SDK, not Counter-Strike.
There's no point in modding off a mod.
That's why there's addons.
counter strike here???
This part is for mods for the version of counter strike that doenst come with half-life???
WTF!! thers no mods thats kinda suck it is the best game in the world and still no mods LOL!!!

How do we add add-ons? I'm a CSS skinner and have a bit of work to post here.
