Cossacks: European Wars is a historical real-time strategy based on events of the 16th through the 18th centuries in Europe, when nations and states were created and demolished, and wars shed seas of blood. There are 16 nations or regions in Cossacks: Algeria, Austria, England, France, the Netherlands, Piemonte, Poland, Portugal, Prussia, Russia, Saxony, Spain, Sweden, Turkey, Ukraine, and Venice. Each has its own original graphics, economic and technical development peculiarities, military advantages and drawbacks, and unique units and technologies, providing vast choices of tactics and strategy in war against any enemy. Thus, England is the mightiest sea power, Austria has powerful light and heavy cavalry, and Cossacks are the pride of the Ukrainian army.

Battles of up to 8,000 units may be conducted on single or network game maps. One can carry out lingering city sieges, wage guerilla wars, capture commanding heights and arrange ambushes, deploy landing forces on enemy shores, and conduct sea battles. The game system is arranged to reduce per-unit control and resource micromanagement, and to turn to global goals of powerful economy formation, science development, the capturing of new lands, and defending borders.

Hi just wanted to let all those Battlefront fans know that there is a page on facebook with 5,500 likes called "Who Else Wants Star Wars Battlefront III ?" The aim is to get Lucasarts to notice what fans actually want. If you wish to show your support simply log onto Facebook and go to the page and click Like.

Gaming websites have taken notice and even written articles so Lucasarts can see and every like that the page gets is another step towards Battlefront 3 being developed.

Thanks :)

I think on the original version you cant do it. They have a mode called Imperia Mode [not sure if they maintain it] - That mode have something called unions - you can form unions with other nations. Check this link/ google it internetwars[.]ru/Imperia/ImperiaEnglish[.]htm (As am new here they are not allowing me to paster url - funny )

Also I think that mode needs cossacks:back to war. Anyway am downloading t. Will update you after trying it.

I am still playing this game in 2011 and I am really enjoying it :)

Not only it is a nice game, but I learn more about history by playing this game instead of reading my crappy school books of history.

Don't care about the new Age of Crap with "top" graphics, this game pown' any of them.

LONG LIFE TO COSSACK !!

I agree Cossacks is a fun game (but no Lithuania? Poland was in union with Lithuania in 17 century so have independant Poland but not Lithuania?) and I like it better than Age of Empires too, but why be so vulgar? You are not impressing the girls...;)

Yeah, I also noticed Lithuania isn't there ;) Nations like Bavaria and Switzerland were added in expansions (Switzerland?!! omgwtf roflmao :) I think it was called Helvetia back then, not much of a powerful empire lol). Isn't there any mod with more selectable nations? Maybe a 15th century mod? Lithuania would definately be in it... =p

They try to impress themselves only, and boost their self-esteem by praising their favourite game and belittling (& calling names) a competitor. ;-D As boys usually do.

Anyway, swearing is very inappropriate.

ASfolks and ticarex, shut the **** up. This is a great, beuatiful European game featuring the very best of our glorious Germanic and Slavic nations. Historically accurate, bright and colourful, VERY indepth, but on a grand strategic level, not a mind-numbing micro-management level, and no brainless rushing/spamming will work. This game BLOWS AOE series RIGHT OUT OF THE WATER. Since when did your aoe **** feature ture grand strategy and full-scale napoleonic warefare, it is a mindless micro-fest full of noobs, n00bs and j00bs (Jewish n00bs). What the hell kind of **** game lets you sack a city with 5 soldiers? (answer: AoE)

Cossacks>Other strategy games>Steaming pile of ****>Age of Empires

Suck my hairy Slavic/Germanic and purely EUROPEAN ****, you filthy AmeriKKKan whores.

I agree with you 100%, Aoe is a steaming pile of **** compared to this, the game features no realism whatsoever, and only has a few nations, also AOE features hero units, Cossacks features generals, that have the same life span as any soldier on the battlefield, AOE is a game for children that do not understand the sophistication of games like Cossacks.

Yup, Cossacks is quite a nice game.

But please folks, one should stop putting one game above the other. Played both (Cossacks & AoE), like both, there's no need for f*cking besmirching one of them. =-[
