Here is a list of some features that are available in CoE 3.

  • Many monsters and many special abilities. Some examples right below.
  • Assassins that make an assassination attack before combat starts.
  • Catapults and Hill Giants that can throw boulders during sieges.
  • Immortal Liches and Vampires.
  • Exploding phoenixes (and they are immortal too).
  • And many many more monsters....
  • New weapon system, attacks are divided into pierce, slash or blunt damage (magic attacks have other types too). Skeletons are difficult to injure with piercing weapons and you should preferably use slashing weapons against treemen, etc.
  • Hotseat and network support for multiplayer games.
  • Random maps.
  • Random events.
  • 16 different classes to choose from. And they are quite different from each other, both in what resources they need and what kind of rituals or special abilities they have.
  • Spell system with about 50 magic paths.
  • Magic items.
  • Permanent battle afflictions.
  • Horrors.
  • Stealth and invisibility. Scouts needed to detect stealthy troops, something better (a star spawn or a beast bat will work) needed to detect the invisible ones. There are shape changers too.

Strange. Mine is working flawlessly. I absolutely love both this and Dominions 3. Great fun and has a strange modernish civ 1 feel to it in terms of the graphics. Grab this and love it.

I'm utterly ******. I just want to pay my $10 and play the ******* game. First I've got Datura asking if I've loaded it, or something, then I've got to become a member, and now it's asking me for a code with dashes, and all I've ******* got is a confirmation code, and it won't take it.

So thanks a lot. I already hate CoE and I haven't started playing yet.

You don't need to install the Desura client. Just go here: and enter the Steam key for Conquest of Elysium 3 and it will appear in your list of bought games here. Then download and install the game. No client needed.

The Desura interface is in some respects a little arcane, so it can cause some problems when first using it. For example, that link can only be found at the bottom of the page listed under the heading Play (the Activate Key option).

Sorry you had such trouble with it.

I bought the game on steam a while back and wish to activate it on Desura as well, i notice the Desura version specifically mentions that the reverse is easilly possible.

However, the cd-key in the CoE3 folder does not activate on desura, i get the message "cd-key is no longer valid". Does anyone have any ideas or advice on this?

Hello! I couldn't find any way to send you a bug report, so posting it here. When playing as a Barbarian, Elder Enaries still have the ritual of mastery (costing 1800 herbs) listed under special powers, but nothing happens when it's activated (herbs are lost though). I presume it's left on the list accidentally?

I installed this game on 2 different computers but now I wish to re install it on one of them using a different Serial key (wich I have already bought) so that I can play network games with my friends. But when ever I reinstall I never get prompted to put in a serial-key. I have allready checked the register and found nothing.
Does anyone know how to change the serial-key?

I believe the key is saved in a file called coe3key. Search for that file and delete it.

Do you update your steam version too?

I can't find out what my steam version is and i'm afraid your not updating it as the update news for the game on steam isn't changing.

Its kindof new territory so you might have to tell us.
I think if you hit Credits on the menu it should tell you that your CoE3 is version 3.17?

Buy this. It has things in it.

It's fun for a while to try out the different factions, but ultimately the game is let down by stupid AI. That's a pity because for the same price you can buy two or three excellent games with better longevity.
