Conquest is a simultaneously executed turn-based tactical combat game placed in a dark and distant future. Play the role of a futuristic commander. Divide your armies and conquer the world. Position satellites to reveal your opponents. Launch missiles to annihilate large troop formations, but watch out for incoming drop pods behind your back. Standing in your path to victory are other commanders like yourself. Fight them off one by one and prove you are the greatest of the great. The combination of fast gameplay and randomly generated maps equals to long, restless nights of battles for cities. Drag and drop your way to victory. Divide and conquer!

I just installed the demo and it won't launch because the binary folder is named "Binaries" instead of the expected bin. After renaming the directory, the game still won't launch though. So I removed the entire folder and reinstalled, and now I instead get an error that file /desura/.settings/game_lib32/ couldn't be opened. Is anyone else having similar problems?

This might sound far fetched, but you people should think about porting this game(-play) to mobile android devices. This kind of game would play great with fingers on screen.Plus there is basically no competition for you there :D

I'd love to see it on a touchscreen device myself, but we don't have the resources to commit to it at the moment.

I agree wholeheartedly to this! I would play this game all the time on my phone or tablet. These kinds of games work really well in the mobile environment as long as there is some flexibility with the time requirement of the user, as mobile gamers tend to play in small short stints.

When I was younger, I didn't understand Turn based strat games, but then I started to figure them out, and now I love them! I tend to like them even more than the current RTS games. I just wish that the games the try to combine the two would do the turn based game like this one, and the real time game like Dawn of War or something...that would be awesome.

You shold try Sins of a Solar Empire. That game kind of combines the two genres.

Not in a million years... SINS is a fully fledged RTS regardless of what the marketing says ;-)
