The new update is now available; it gives you the ability to place torches in the world. This is really helpful, especially when you want to build during night, or when you dig in a cave.
To place a torch in the world, you need a mount for it. After placing the mount, you can attach a torch to it. You can also pick up the torch at all time, while it still spends light.
