2018: Mankind leaves a dying planet earth and begins colonization on a new planet called Cobalt 16 (due to its high cobalt levels. 2022: a new Drug called "DCX" is released to the public as a over the counter antibiotic designed to treat a new disease caused by the high cobalt levels in the soil. 2022-2023: "DCX" has a unexpected side effect caused by the climate of Cobalt 16 and over half of the population dies within 3 months. the rest become cannibalistic creatures that walk the now mostly deserted planet. 2024: The last of the U.S Government creates E.C.H.O.S (Encounter Control Handling Operation Squad) in a last ditch effort to regain control of the planet.
