Welcome to ChromaTec’s test lab! You’re here to test our newest, state-of-the-art military-grade color-technology: The ChromaGun (patent pending)! Use it to try and solve our meticulously designed test chambers. The basic principle is as easy as applying it is complex: Exit the chambers via the exit doors. But be weary of the WorkerDroids in charge of maintaining the chambers. They’re not exactly what you and I would call “human friendly”.

Use the ChromaGun to colorize walls and WorkerDroids to progress in the chambers. Should you have played with colors as a kid, the concept we like to refer as “mixing” should ring a bell. Colored objects are attracted to other objects of the same color. Brown objects are NOT attracted to one another and cannot be colorized further. So be careful what you shoot at, Trigger Happy!

Some doors are more complicated to use than others: They can only be opened using door triggers and only stay open as long as the triggers are occupied. If all of this sounds like your brain can handle it, congratulations! You’re the perfect candidate for our test chambers!

In that context, welcome and good luck!

ChromaGun is on Greenlight!

News

ChromaGun has officially arrived on Steam Greenlight! Yay!

The original game was developed for Ludum Dare 32 and we kept refining every iteration ever since. A few weeks ago, we released a slightly less polished version of the game on iOS and the feedback was amazing. So amazing, we decided to take it one step further and bring it to Steam.

You can try out the mobile version of ChromaGun on the AppStore. Also, we have an early PC/Mac version available at the game's homepage, if you want to give it a try!

In ChromaGun, you use the eponymous "ChromaGun" to color walls and WorkerDroids. Droids are attracted to walls of the same color, and colors can be mixed on canvas, so shooting a blue WorkerDroid yellow, will make it green. But mixing anything other than primary colors, will leave you with brown – which doesn't attract anything. Carefully place your shots in meticulously designed test chambers full of droids, buttons, doors, electrified plates and much more.
