CHIVALRY: Medieval Warfare is a first-person medieval online combat game that seeks to deliver the intensity of epic hollywood medieval block busters to the hands of a gamer. CHIVALRY hurls the player into a fictional medieval world where the Agathian Knights are battling against the newly formed Mason Order for control of the lands of Agatha.
As soon as they join the game players choose from a selection of several classes, which control the appearance, characteristics and abilities that will be available to them. Classes include Archers, Man-at-arms, Vanguards, Knights and Support class. Each of these classes will be able to equip a selection of weapons including swords, battle axes, crossbows, longbows, shields and much more. As they take to the field players will clash with an advanced melee combat system that allows full, real-time control of your swings for precision strikes. Dodge, duck, evade, block or parry your enemies strikes to counter with your own and bring him down with a satisfying gush of blood spurting from his neck as his decapitated head rolls from its resting place upon the shoulders.
Players engage in battle over epic landscapes including besieged castles, city streets, rolling plains, and waterfalls with massive siege engines such as: Catapults, Ballistas, Trebuchets, Battering Rams, Boiling Oil, Mantlets, Siege Towers, Ladders and more. Characters come alive as they gain experience, titles and traits that remind the player of his most epic moments playing the game, allow him to display his trophies to others and push him to improve his skills. This coupled with an advanced unlock system allows true customization and variety on a diverse battlefield encouraging players to achieve glory and stand above their friends and foes alike.

This game is great fun. After people watched me play it, I've not got 5 friends who all have the game. Incredibly addictive and fresh, a break away from the stale Call of Duty first person clones.

Now yeah, I'd enjoy this game if I had an internet connection even remotely suitable for online play.
Looks incredible, though it did sorta remind me of CoD with swords... :P yeah, that's not a good thing...

This game is awesome. Right up my alley. At first look I wasn't that impressed, but I bought it anyway. Then the fun began. I've never been this enthousiastic about a game since the half life and counterstrike days. If there's any game that really deserves the recognition, it's Chivalry. It's strange how when you just watch a trailer the fights seem slow, but when it's you doing the fighting - which really requires skill, timing and experience to master - your heart starts racing and it REALLY becomes personal. That, and I laugh my *** off each time I play. They've got my vote :-)
This game is a major "eh" for me.
Now I know this game is not made to be "realistic" like M&B but when a tiny little archer with a small dagger blocks a heavy knight with a large sword swinging with full momentum it can be very annoying...I haven't been this frustrated with a game since I played CoD years ago...
When the devs release another patch to fix the bugs and glitches i'll probably play it some more.
needs a star wars mod
Is the steam version of this game for Mac?
What sort of modding support will be available? I would absolutely adore a Lord of the Rings or Game of Thrones mod!
