First open alpha download released

After many delays, the alpha is finally out! :)

Game Description:

Celaria is a first-person parkour platformer with a focus on fast and reactionbased gameplay. You jump from block to block, performing wallruns, slides, rolls, etc... and using the different powers which can be gathered from the colored blocks (like speed-boosts and extremly high jumps) to get over your obstacles. The objective: Run to the goal as fast as you can.

There are currently only 4 maps and one gamemode (time-trial), both which are unlocked from the start. There is also a "Trainingscourse" which functions as a tutorial for beginners. It explains the basic movement and controls of the game.

You have the ability to win medals (bronze, silver, gold, platin) depending on how fast you were able to finish the maps. There are also hidden "gems" scattered around the maps for people who like to get every secret/collectable in the game. Currently, finding all hidden gems doesn't unlock any new content, but this will change in the future. :)

If you find any kind of bugs or if you want to give feedback, just post here in the comment-section or on youtube.

(PS: the game has its own website: www.celaria.com )

Or you can download the game here on IndieDB:

Celaria Open Alpha v2

NOTE: If your game crashes at startup, try to reinstall DirectX 9.0c.

I don't have a fixed date. I'll expand the game gradually over time. The current plan is to release the map-editor before the multiplayer mode.

Why not? Is it not obvious by this game, and so many others, that Game Maker, in the hands of a good developer, can produce some of the best games out there?
