March, 2047. A massive nuclear fireball explodes high in the night sky, marking the dramatic beginning to the Third Tiberium War. The infamous Kane has returned to lead the Brotherhood of Nod in a massive global assault on the Global Defense Initiative and the few remaining Blue zones left on the planet. Only you can stop him. The fate of humanity – and the planet – is in your hands.

Our new direction, and a trailer for the game are released in this update.

The New Direction(s):

"From Same shape marriage, to Inter-color unions, Shape Wars puts an all new spin on the history of mathkind.

# rave about all the possible sides of this epic conflict, unlike anything you could count on before. Dangerous imaginary #s fight to take over the plains of existence, and only you, the Geomancer, has what it taakes to unify the shapes against their oblong enemies."

Your role?

To make sure the #s just don't add up....

Greetings,

After much deliberation, we've decided to shift our efforts onto a new, much more spectacular project. One with more playable sides, and more tactical angles. Sure, some of you may think us obtuse, but I can assure you, we're very acute.

Bringing you top of the line HD Graphics, unlike anything seen before in traditional gaming. Powered by the Flat Lander engine, we have some quarks to hammer out. but we trust in our linear minded team to pull it all together.

I know some of you might find this decision puzzling, so we put together a diagram, to really show off the hidden potential of this project.

Shape Wars GDD Excerpt:

(postpone till 2013/2016)

This is an idea that involves the war of shapes, that we will do and Announce for April fools. We discussed how we would potentially tell the entire history of mankind using shapes, of varying sizes and colors. We further discussed how they would attack each other with math, such as the square shoots the #4. And how different abnormal shapes could shoot other things. And how spheres are the perfect shape, and how they can shoot function signs.

We further discussed how we could shoot Nukes, and just have a big E=MC Squared come out.

We also discussed the concept of flat landers, how there will be 2D shapes. And how it would act as a form of stealth, since you can only see what it is from a certain angle.

We also discussed how we could later find out they all live on a pool table.

We also discussed future related titles, such as “English” and how we have 26 letters units and they fight each other by creating words, and messing with grammar.

We hope you enjoyed this article and all of our presented content!

Could someone make a mod that the only change was the addition of a fourth faction which was just a combination of the three original factions.

I think the TW icon should be changed. Or at least given a boarder.

i think they really need to add like buildable boats and u will be able to command them and have navel battles like in RA2 =-)

There never was and never should be naval combat in the Tiberian Universe.

Anyways, the Tiberium poisoned most of the water, so naval combat would be impractical if you weren't in a Blue Zone.

Fantastic game, great for those that enjoy the allure of the rather expansive CnC Universe (that should be the next game), lovely graphics, fast-paced game play, high-res cut scenes (although some ARE a tad long), and a wonderful cast of characters from several shows I watch. Hard-core CnC fans may not like it so much, due to its odd "turn" towards the more generic RTS games out and about today. I DO NOT like the cookie-cutter maps they have made for single and multi-player skirmishing AT ALL. The 3D games today are MUCH harder to make maps for, although I do admit they could have been much better if the map team had put a bit more effort into it. Also, the technology in this game is rather bland and I have seen it many times before (basic tank in light and heavy flavors, jeep, jet, infantry, etc.) for Nod and GDI, but the Scrin were the most creative in terms of units and buildings.

In conclusion I HIGHLY suggest it for pretty much anyone who like RTS's like these, and for hard-core fans of the game, wait until extensive new map-packs with better maps and mods with better units come out. Also, I suggest you upgrade your system to around an 8600GT(S) so you can actually RUN the game at pretty high settings without much lag, it's a lovely game, don't waist its beauty. Finally, I have tested this both an XP much and a Vista machine and noticed NO difference in performance or quality, but I suggest XP.

I agree that it doesn't feel as real C&C. Something is missing, maybe it's because of the fast pace of this game, I'm not sure.

Mod it. Plain and simply man.
Overall the game is good, and the continuation of the story is nice. Though must admit I loved TS more than the other games, and it made for even cinematic matches when I was bored LOL.

This game sucks as a C&C! But pretty good anyway. Tiberian Dawn , Red alert 1 and Tiberian Sun is MUCH better!

It is a well made game, but it doesn't quite feel right. It seems more like C&C 1.5. The TS game world was fierce, almost savage, and the technology was just plain cool. Everything that made TS so much fun is missing from this game. Its a good game, but not deserving of the title C&C 3.
