Wielding strange new technologies and hungering for revenge, the Soviet Army invades America. Overwhelmed Allied forces, unprepared for the surprise attack, are decimated. Will freedom be crushed under the heels of Communist aggression. Red Alert 2 is another Real Time Strategy from Westwood the makers of the brilliant Command and Conquer series. This is one of the few RTS that really was modded heavily, and not just limited to new maps and or player models.

The Cut-scenes during the campaign are very topnotch as expected from Westwood.
The animations of the units are very good same goes with the nuclear/smoke/flame Effects which from the time of release was very good looking.
The works of Frank Klepacki bought many memorial music including the remix of Hell March back into game. The Heavy Metal guitar and face paced beats of Red alert 2 set the par for 'Cnc' soundtracks. The unit sounds were well made and never felt out of place many are very catchy and I find my self sometimes saying them aloud "Conscript reporting!"
Great fast pace with matching balancing of the Teams is almost perfect. One of the top RTS around even in this day and age.
I have been playing this game since the day it was released and now its 2010. What keeps players coming back is the multilayer, with multiple online modes to play your never bored when playing with your friends to find who the ultimate RA2 player. If your getting pwn'd to hard in online play their is always the all time famous skirmish mode can keep you busy training away ready for your next online battle.
This game is a Essential RTS that you need to play.
