Hello all,
It has been sometime since the last update. I have been busy with other ventures and haven't had time to continue development. I'm picking it up again so that we can all see 0.5 released in the immediate future. So many things have changed for the better since 0.4 that I consider it a real shame that people are still downloading and playing it!
I only have a few things left to do before releasing 0.5. The "Toxin Tractor" and "Fire Tank" will both be replaced first, and then much cleaning up must still be done. That is to say, various "damage" models for units must be made, new cameos, erasing small bugs etc.
A small request to the community; one thing I've always wanted VRM to have is tanks that keep their turret on (and the turret's orientation!) when they die. This seems to be a tricky problem. I've been able to do this but not without making the dead tank hulks have a collision, and this changes gameplay! Any advice or help would be appreciated.
Alright, before I get back to work, here are a couple of random screenshots I had lying around, some of which you may have seen already:

These are just some of the sounds that I have created, with a twist on some songs that are familiar to the C&C Generals Zero Hour Universe.
First release contains a simple fix: Green data stream animation removed from all patriot batteries.
Patch for NProject Mod 2.8 with its main feature the completed Generals Challenge with the new Infantry General stage.
Version 2 mainly adds damaged models, along with some tweaking and bug fixes. A list of these can be found in the “Version 2 released!” news article...
The long, long awaited BETA is finally here! We, members of Contra Project Team, thank you for all the wait! It has been years since the last release...

From modder's perspective, Zero Hour is the C&C game with the best modding capability and it's also easy to learn. It have a lot of nice additions from the classic C&C Generals.

I was Thinking, always are: "USA, GLA, China, Russia, ECA (EU)"..
but.. we have more countries.. including those who don't have the same tecnology...
What about.. if in 1 or more ZH MODS we include: Argentina, Brasil, Venezuela, Chile, Mexico, India, North-Korea, Libia, Iraq etc.. those countries??? Meaby aren't Powerfull like USA, ECA (or EU), China, Russia etc... but they have Militar Equipment too... :) just because they aren't powerfull doesn't mean that they can't have a place on ZH MODS.. right?
or.. what about.. if.. Somebody Make a Continent Mod?
AMERICA (From Canada To Argentina) - Europe - Africa - Asia and oceania? o.o i don't know, just.. i was thinking about that a long time ago.
Why wait for someone else to do it when you can do it yourself?
Im Searching after see: "Rise of The Reds" + "Contra" + "Foxtrot" and other mods... a NEW... Tottaly NEW GAME... from the Base of C&C:ZH...
The Greatest Mods in 1 simply instal...
5 Mods.. in 1.. or meaby .. why not? 15 mods.. in only 1..
15 Factions.. (without generals of course) but with new Units.. New Colors of the players..
"Rise of The Reds" open my eyes.. and now i want more!!..
A Mod Combined with the TITANS of the history.. USA, URSS, CHINA, GERMANY, JAPAN and others.. like: Iran, North-South Korea, France, England and Italy...
More Factions... new Buildings, Units, Voices...
"Rise of The Reds" have 5 Titants.. USA-China-URSS (but they call the Federal Russia o.o mmm but with brutal force? i think more in URSS)- ECA & GLA... but i talk in more Factions.. or meaby just simple Nations no like "ECA"..
GERMANY, ITALI, ENGLAND (or United Kindom - The Pirates) and esle..
I don't know it's just.. i think it would be amazing if .. the TEAMS (all Mod-Teams) work Together to bring the Ultimate Mod O.O! like if C&C.G.ZH Re-born again... in a Super-New Game... (that's why i always throw lots of ideas in mods)
This 'ultimate mod' would be a an incoherent mess of conflicting features. All the mods you mention have vastly different design philosophies, gameplay mechanics and visuals. Combining them all into one would be a disservice to all three of them.
And no, ROTR's Russian Federation -is- the Russian Federation. Not some lame generic neo-USSR.
mmm o.o when i think in "Brutal Force, Frontal Assault" i think more in URSS.. more if the mod is: "Rise of The Reds" including in the history when somebody say "REDS" part of the people think in the Great URSS.. o.o
It would be a nice thought but the modders we all follow are working hard to finish the mods we all want and love, i'd love to see it too but most have abandoned there projects except a few die hard mods that we can not wait to be finished.
on that note they do the work out of love for the game and us the few that still play this 10 year old game we all love (ZH)
well.. that's true.. o.o m-mmmm how we can support the Modders?? :) i know everybody can say "i like it" or else but.. another way to do it? :) because... with this Mods.. like "Contra, ROTR's" it's like a New Game.. if you see it with other eyes o.o...
