Nice huh. Now I can zoom it back the way I can see the view from the original Generals.
I love how you can zoom out.. but fix the command bar to be normal until you release a command bar interface background to go with it...
I use to modify the .windows however It's a tedious process :/

guys there is a better way!
1) download software FINAL BIG
2) then open with FINAL BIG the INIZH.big file
3) now you have to search gamedata.ini on the right side
4) click on it and on the richt side look for "resolution" and min/max heigh
5) put in what you want and enjoy!!!

Can you also advise -Is there a way to edit the map file? Because I notice these maps you can download vary a lot in zoom perspective Some are woefully close to the ground (arrrgh) and some are bloody noisy with thunder claps volcano noises & so on Sh1t like that I need to modify out

On origin. The ultimate Collection. Take note that EA stuffed up the launcher so beware. Or if your lucky you could find it on disc.

Thank you very much, I modified the .ini & it works well now. I can see the battlefield at a lower lvl as a result —kinda like how it was with GenTool, though I grew to hate it. Also thanks for not including a command bar timer thingy or whatever, I need a full untampered interface for use with the Destructive Forces 1.4 Mod. Before I used Widescreen fix from GamePressure.com, but it would jut out, the unit\ building icons. This one saved my life, also since GenTool did something to make Humvees look bigger (had a nice effect) —this Mod fix helped me reduce my FOV (or max height) to 450, things look big —just the way I like it —like with my old desktop at 1024x768 ...This was a real lifesaver !
