Only you can reclaim the world of SRC from an army of evil software-bugs: time to top-down-shoot balls of energy at cartoon monsters and watch them explode! "Bugger!" is a top-down shooter in the vein of CyberDogs, with a slightly unconventionally theme... The game is being developed from the ground up in C++, using the open SFML graphics library. As such it can (and will) be cross platform upon release :-)

A new (free) alpha build has been released for Linux and Windows systems, along with new screenshots and videos :D

Changes include:

  • Fixed drawing culling (visibility boxes)
  • Projectile shadows
  • Softcoding using TinyXML
  • Auto-tiling (for speedy level design)!
  • Multiple weapon, reloading, ammunition

And a whole lot of other under-the-hood stuff that would be impossible to explain without boring you all to tears :-/ Here's a video explanation of some of the more important additions:

I amplified the microphone and have been experimenting with video editing so it should be a much better cut than last time. Let me know what you think, both of the video and the alpha!
