For those of you who have waited, and even supported us in the past, you have our sincere gratitude for keeping your cool, and mind open. This game will be for you as much as it is for ourselves.
For those that don't feel the same, but want to know where the project is headed, learn to have a bit of patience. Whether or not you subscribe to the mailing list is your own business; entirely your choice. Hey, just want to say amazing work. I love BSG and i just got into it a week ago. But when i installed your game it didnt want to launch. It just kept comeing up with like a million errors say couldnt find this or too many fonts. Any suggesstions???
Great game guys. I just have a couple questions. Can you get the cockpit view in the demo? Also, how large of battles are planned, are they mostly just dogfighting, or will we see something on a truly epic scale? Or are you not talking about that right now? Anyway, well, done, I've been looking for a good sim, and you guys definitely nailed it.
The engine used is from freespace
Freespace 2 isn't it?
Yes, it uses a highly modified FS2 engine.
Did you guys know you guys are in the April '08 issue of Popular Science?! Page 81! They built a BSG flight simulator pod and used your game as the demo.
Congrats!
Yeah, they (we) know, it is already in our forums...
nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo ive just installed this AWSOME game and the folder where i installed it to is EMPTY nada nothing there can someone tell me why?
you are probably referring to the shortcut in the menu... it is a known issue... check the folder (ie: C:\Program Files\Beyond the Red Line\) folder, you should see the launcher file in there, right click, choose send to, desktop (create shortcut)... you should see the launcher icon now on your desktop. Do the same thing for the FS2_Open file...
No, a joystick is only recommended, you can play with mouse or a gamepad.
