Current Recruiting Needs

If you want to be a part of a team that help makes Beyond the Red Line the best it can be, we're interested in what you have to offer. And if you have code or scripting knowledge, all the better.

When you apply, please send us samples of your work with a resume, CV, or detailed write up of what you can offer with relevant experiences.

The last thing in the world we need are more flakes, leeches, and people that will leak our works. Those without any sense of propriety (or understanding of confidentiality and the dev process) are why new applicants have to to jump through many hoops. A true game of substance is what we aim for, therefore, standards must be kept high.

If such ideas are foreign to you in the development of a game, well, there are many mods and hobbies out there to join that are not Beyond the Red Line. Recent events have shown us that there's a large percentage of people who would take quantity over quality any day of the week. But if you don't share that opinion, happen to possess very good skills, a long-term desire to help us bring our vision to life, and want reap the rewards of excellence... Please Contact Us

Brought to you by the Freespace 2 Source Code Project, Hard Light Productions and Game Warden. We give you BSG: Beyond the Red Line. Beyond the Red Line is a total conversion for the Freespace Open engine. Available both as a Total Conversion for Freespace 2, or it's own standalone game, BTRL seeks to bring you the very highest quality in gameplay.

Graphics? Oh yes! With Omniscaper leading the way and using the powerful FS2 engine enhanced by the Source Code Project and all the very latest in graphical tricks, BTRL will have the most detailed and beautiful ships ever put into the Freespace engine.

Storyline? The storyline will be focused on the series, with all the twists and turns that will keep you on the edge of your seat. With RedAssAg05 (aka, Dukeman42) at the helm, the storyline will be sure to rival that of the series in it's depth.

Massive dogfights? You betchya. Massive dogfights with hundreds of enemy craft on-screen at one time. Friendly AI and Enemy AI perform complicated flight maneuvers using physics that are almost perfect simulations of the show.

Multi-Player? With Coop,TVT, deathmatches, and King of the Hill, all you will have to worry about is that guy on your tail. Wanna see it? Get to downloading the teaser below, or go and look at our beautiful collection of screenshots. You won't be sorry. Teaser Video

All hail to the SinKing who is posting to himself out of boredom already. Truth is I had to check if my avatar is showing and give all you viper fans a kick in the nuts, too. I can't wait for this game to come online, as I will seemingly be the only one flying Cylon raiders all the time. I love these babies and I don't understand your sentimentality for these butt ugly birds called Vipers ( trying to stir some hatred here ;-) )

I will blast every fracking one of you, preferably over a cup of ceylon tea.

Come on, bring this mod to ole Sin. I will have to work so fracking much again soon, I won't be able to spend the nights shooting everyone. Selfish am I not? But i just watched your videos again and they are sooo cool, they drive the tears to my mechanic eyes. Please - other Cylons want to play this, too!!!

It's online, but they are moving to another server, so forums don't work. I think its good to have BSG away from Game-Warden, because all the other FS2 stuff is there and Beyond the Red Line is different from all the other FS2 mods. It is the one mod to rule them all, and should have a proper standing of its own!

Good thing you're back!

Thanks FusionStorm. i know I was a little overreacting, but I had that sad, sad feeling when I couldn't return to some ingame screenies on a daily basis. So the evil empire didn't clone the game and took it away to foster parents? I'm not sure what made me believe in this conspiracy, I guess I was just desperate for news. Thanks again m8 and good work on the moddb forums, its really cool that additionally to all the stuff you do on the BSG-Forum and on the mod you still come here to post for us!

Can't wait for the demo. (unfortunately I have to)

Yes, to be frank - I'm quite worried it has something to do with the Producers of the TV Show, because this project is so interesting it outsmarts any commercially available BSG games. I hear that the makers of the show are very interested in getting a good game for BSG up and running, as the only one availabe so far was for console systems only and takes place long before the actual BSG-Show happenings. I hope for all that this mod may live forever and never be a commercial product, because this will limit its scope in the end. Now its a free fanmade supergame which a devoted circle of friends may enjoy when its done. If this goes commercial we wil have all the little kids playing it and problaby crashing one viper after the other. I wanna join a squad and have really challenging dogfights and capitalship battles on this. I want a squad leader who really knows his job and people who can and will fly formations just like on the show. This could be a great realtime strategy game in full 3D, just two enemy forces clashing upon one another and fighting for hegemonia or plainly for survival. This gotta come back soon, half my life is gone for the past few days. I actually took a walk in the outside world today. That's scary!
