The latest game from XHH(me). Basically it's a fun little platformer/adventure game that is meant to turn your boredom into rage and high blood pressure. The game includes spikes, gravity, a cat, fight scenes, romantic struggles, and good music! Honestly that's all I can tell you about this game. You should really download it and see for yourself! Average gameplay time: 1 month (approx. 300 deaths). Controls are not explained. Learning is also part of the experience. The more you die, the better your chances of finishing the game. ;) Need experience in air jumping? Try re-watching the trailer! If you find a bug or have a suggestion, don't hesitate to submit a comment! I will almost always respond! ******* Pressing F4 will toggle full screen mode Holding F will increase fps and skip certain dialogue. ******* NEW: If you make a gameplay video, comment/PM a link and I will add it to the playlist: ---->>> <<<------ (Desura didn't allow direct youtube links)

What better way to spend a Friday than knee deep in free video games? The following four freedom embracing virtual entertainments are here to make your Friday awesome!

First up we have Deer Hunter 1066 an arcade shooter inspired by retro top down shooters, with deer and woodland creatures as the undeserving target. Score big on the virtual hunting ground! If pixelated animal slaughter is not your thing why not monster slaughter in space? The next game CDF Ghostship will fill that desire nicely. A first person, third person survival horror and sci-fi shooter (it is also a mouthful).

Up next is Endgame: Syria a free interactive exploration of events unfolding in Syria today. EGS is a simulation that uses interactivity to explore a real world event. Each choice the user makes has consequences – the types of military units you may deploy, the political paths you choose to tread. Finally the best game to squash that boredom is Boredom! Boredom is a fun little platformer/adventure game that is meant to turn your boredom into rage and high blood pressure. The game includes spikes, gravity, a cat, fight scenes, romantic struggles, and good music!

Come back next week for four more of the freest games you could possibly want!

Hey XHH!

eGamer South Africa has featured your game in its latest let's play:

I really like it, even though it's frustratingly difficult :D But it's fun to rage! Hope you enjoy the video, and don't take the rage the wrong way (which is most of the last 5 minutes), it's just all for the fun! :P

I'm really eager to keep giving this a go, I like the challenge! May want to tone things down some time, according to some of these dudes here :P

(Sorry for the triple-post, but it won't let me edit the first two comments... which I only broke up because of the 2000-character limit. Maybe I should've just written a review, but that would've required me to play through the whole game and... ugh, so many little complications...)

Looking back, I hope my feedback didn't come across as too harsh. I was a bit frustrated at the time, but I really do think this is a nice, simple, challenging game, it just has a few rough aspects to it that can be polished/ironed out.

Thank you for your feedback Rockythechao. To be honest I'm surprised. This game is apparently more difficult then I thought. I plan on taking your (and everyone else's) suggestions into account while I work on the next update.

But whatever you do, don't give up! It's 100% possible!

I see you implemented some of those suggestions to the latest version, but unfortunately it's still not updating for me... :(

I'm going to try re-installing the game and see if that'll give me the latest version. I may have to replay the game up to the boss, but I don't mind that too much... especially if it resets the death counter! :)

Nope, this time it gave me a "stopped responding" message. I'll just play through again and see if I can beat him this time around.

- Tone down the first boss' difficulty by slowing him down a tiny bit or removing the falling rocks. Or both. Alternatively, implement multiple difficulty modes or dynamic difficulty -- make him subtly easier if the player dies too much.
- Either more frequent checkpoints, or move the existing ones closer to the tough segments. When I die at a tough, intense segment I want to restart at the beginning or partway through the segment, not inside a featureless hallway that takes several seconds to walk through... it may be foreboding the first time around, but by the 20th attempt it's just unnecessary tedium.
- Add a greater variety of death messages. I've seen "Brain over brawn", "That's unfortunate" and "Don't try to outrun him" way too many times. Google "Have a nice death", the first result may help give you some ideas.

Seriously, that thing is ridiculous. It requires inhuman reflexes to maneuver around and when you think you've almost got it under control BAM! ROCK TO THE FACE. Then I go through the death sequence, restart all the way back in that hall... I've managed to get to the third phase a few times, but I just can't react quickly enough to keep avoiding him, and those boulders aren't helping!

What I've played so far was pretty cool, and the rest of the game looks interesting based on what you've shown in the trailer. I'm particularly curious about that cat and the princess, but with that steep difficulty curve I don't see myself making any progress anytime soon so I'm not feeling very motivated to continue right now... I'll try again later this weekend or sometime next week.

I recognize most of the music I've heard so far, but it all works pretty well and they're all favorites of mine so I'm cool with it. The trailer song is bugging me though, I know I've heard it before but I can't quite remember where... Atelier? Ar Tonelico? Some random NIS game?

Game isn't much, but it's amazing.
First boss was a bit hard but the second boss is impossible!!!!
(for me)
I recommend this game to someone who has alot free time and doesn't know how to use it.
