Realism. Intensity. Relevance. Temperatures and tempers are rising. Boiling Point: Road to Hell is set in the intense tropical heat of the South American jungle, where players take Saul Meyers, a decorated Legionnaire, way beyond the limit of any man's patience. Saul has reached his point of no return - his life threatened, his family compromised – he’s a desperate man, ready to take matters to the ultimate extreme to protect the life of his daughter, Lisa.

Boiling Point offers an exciting gaming experience, delivering play focussed on action and interaction in the first or third person. Set in the South American jungle, the massive gaming world spans 625 square kilometers, bigger than the city of Chicago, and is populated throughout with friend and foe. Asynchronous loading of required resources creates a seamless game world with no levels and no loading times, allowing for the non-linear plot to give the player the chance to choose exactly how they play the game. Guns blazing, or sneaking around? Rescue Lisa, or leave her to rot? The choice is yours.

There are hundreds of NPC’s to interact with, all of which behave differently and offer different types of information depending on what you ask and how you ask it. Every encounter and every interaction within the game directly affects your standing and reputation in the eyes of the 6 NPC factions, with potentially dire or wonderful consequences resting on a knife edge of decision. Many vehicles can be bought, stolen or hijacked to help you travel around the massive environment or to get you out of trouble fast, including cars, trucks, helicopters, boats and even a tank.

This game isn’t about keeping your cool - this game is about reaching BOILING POINT!

Why this is A hell of a good game: It have extremely many missions, I bet its over 800, I have done about 100-300 and its a very small part of them all, I play very slowly this time.

My goal is to play all missions, I have played close to all around ur Starting point, and i have only explore about 80% of the map.

Why its so good few words: Many missions, XP-system, game play, the huge map (450 km2), Many ways to do a mission, the weapons and ammunition, Story, vehicles and It will keep ur busy for over 100 hours!!

Boiling Point Road to hell: 90% My opinion.

I don`t understand people who tell it sucks. I`ve got dual 1,8 Ghz 1mb ram and 256mb in graphic. I play on it whit 1280 resolution and all options at full... So shut up or buy new pc than tell about it. My first run was on 800x600 and low details so i know how bad it looks.

Yeah and what's even more upsetting? Their name is all over the tools BUT none of the tools will run unless you have the game installed correctly and patched to 2.0 Which is somewhat upsetting because the 2.0 AUS patch is only available at two places as well. However, both quite large sites. The SDK is usually hosted @ xenus-hq and their server goes down sometimes. The other one used and I say used to be hosted at gameguru until the link stopped working?

Whatever the case I'll keep the rapid mirror up. Since it's unlimited space unlimited transferring. It's capped at 500kb/sec but since it's so small across rapidshare it's worth keeping it just incase the xenus-hq stops supporting it. The gfbuild doesn't unpack modified game grp's. Only the original. Also the ogg encoding tool encodes it in such a way the ogg is then variable bit rate. Using normal encoders you'll just hear blank sound ingame. So definitely use the SDK if anyone plans to mod this.

Too bad it's unofficial, although when contacting the company they linked me to the same tools lol.

For those of you having trouble finding the SDK(Source Development Kit) and the 3ds Max Plugins I backed it up on my rapidshare. Even though I hate the game some people can't find these tools and the two sites that usually host them often go down or the links default save HTML and you have rename all the extensions. Rapidshare.com

Pak includes:
SDK Unofficial English Including GRP decompiler "gfbuild"
3dsMax Plugins VE6and7
ConsoleCommands_en.xsl
SDK_Documentation

It'll be up as long as Rapidshare.com stands. I would up it to my other accounts but I am too lazy.
Happy modding.....

Snagged a copy yesterday, and I'm really enjoying it so far. It's buggy, the graphics leave a lot to be desired, and overall it comes off as unfinished, but beneath all of that is a fun idea with a great setting, and unique gameplay.

After some optimizing and testing, this game, with the 2.0 patch, works like a charm, and it's a really good game. Get it to complete your "free world" game collection.
