A friend and I have been trying to host a server all night. We've used the hamachi however neither of us are seeing one another. Any help?

Jan 2 2013, 5:17pm Anchor

Okay, so apparently it says I have to give an IP to my friend so we can start the game.
Im confused. I click on the IP thing, and it says send IPv4 or send IPv6
which one do I send to her...

And when she recieves it, what do we do to play?

Your IPv4, you can find out your own ip here:
Whatismyip.com

You need to start a game by selecting "Host", when inside the game it will be possible to join.
Your friend selects "Manual Join" and enters your ip in the server-lobby.

This will work fine aslong as you have a clean connection. If having troubles connecting you could use the Hamachi guide i wrote in the first post.

It keep saying timeout or connection failed!

Jan 30 2013, 8:00pm Anchor

hey Znoop,
It sounds that you don't have a clean connection between the host/client.

Have you tried playing through hamachi? In many cases it resolves connection issues thats caused by router/firewall.
Also make sure you don't have any 3e part software blocking Bloody Trapland, and make sure you have allowed "bloodytrapland.exe" in Windows firewall.

Hi, Me and my friend both bought Bloody Trapland on separate computers so we could play together. After seeing that we couldnt just press "Host Game" And one of us could join the game, I got hamachi to set up a game. It worked, but my friend kept getting a message saying "Ping Too High". I want to try opening port 6883 but I know nothing about port forwording. Can anyone give me a step by step walk-through on how to open the port?

hey Torshall, I've been getting a lot of viruses lately so I'm wondering does Hamachi give any viruses?

Does anyone know if Hamachi gives viruses or not ?

Me and my brother are on the same network, but we can't play  tocheter, it keeps saying ''Connection Failed'' or Timedout''. We allowed bloody trapland in windows fire-wall, we tried with hamachi, but it never worked.

Mar 23 2013, 10:18am Anchor

hey bernard,
try connecting using your local ip-adress instead if you are on the same network. Usually looks something like "192.168.x.x."

Mar 27 2013, 4:59am Anchor

torshall It still dosent work for me.

Mar 27 2013, 8:10am Anchor

torchick, I'm afraid I can't say exactly why in your case, I have to little info to go on.
The bigest issue with helping out with network releated issues is that it can be for so many reasons. All i can say for sure is that you guys do not have a clean connection between one and other.

Are you behind a firewall of some sort?
Are you behind one or more routers?
Have you added Bloodytrapland.exe and Hamachi.exe as an exception in you're windows firewall?
What connection do you have?
Are you behind a proxy?
Have you both tried hosting?
Can you connect to other public games in bloody trapland?
Does the button in hamchi glow green/yellow/blue/red?

Also note that you don't need to play through hamachi, it only simplifies the connection part for most ppl.

With that said,
My best bet would be that you both are behind a "relayed  tunnel"

Have a look at this guide, it might help you:

so i tried everything... i port forwarded i opened my firewall we are trying to play through hamachi ?

Jun 18 2013, 2:05am Anchor

Hi, I just bought an original copy of BT today, and one for my friend. Game is working good for both but we cannot play online. We just forwarded/opened the port, nothing, used Hamachi, nothing. I really don't know what to do, is kinda sad :( Hope we can all get a solution.
Big hug from Argentina. The game is insane and great!

If you are having problems joining a server, make sure to read the first post carefully. When using hamachi/playing over LAN you need select "Manual Join" in game and enter the correct ip.

*note that it won't work to select the game in the lobby list if it doesn't have a ping. Servers with internet restrictions such as firewall/incorrect port setup/blocking routers, will be having ping value "---"

If you still need further help after you tried this, send me a PM with a detailed description of what you have tried/not tried, and any other useful information you have, and I will do my best to help. But as said before, there is no "one fix", it's all deppends on your network setup. It's not a game issue.

Help me with this bullcrap or give me my money back.
I opened the bloody port that they say to open, and when I join my OWN sever, the hammer-fist doesn't work, then six seconds later "Timedout"
Seriously, help, or give me my money back. I bought this game to play online and if it doesn't work online when it is advertised as a game for online use, then MONEY. BACK.

Dec 17 2013, 5:19pm Anchor

everytime i try to join an online game i get "coonection failed". Bloody Trapland is allowed through the firewall.

Suggestions? I'd really like to play this with some friends

The host is responsible for most of the connection issues.
If you want people to play with you can join this group.
