As promised we have released a new video showing more detail about our building system in BoM. Keep in mind this video is only showing the construction of buildings and not the actual functions that each building provides. That will be posted in future videos. This video doesn’t have any subtitles so if you want more detail, please read below for information on the buildings shown in the video.

[Barracks]

This structure mainly serves as a recruiting center for militia-like forces to help you in your battles. The first structure allows the recruitment of “Conscripts” and “Scouts”. The upgraded version allows stronger trained recruits like “Spearman” and “Crossbowman”. These followers will be covered more in depth in the follower’s video. The barracks and upgraded barracks can provide training to your followers to help them earn experience faster.

[Lumbermill]

This structure helps expand the capacity to hold larger quantities of Lumber and also produces Lumber overtime at no extra cost to the player. The Lumbermill also serves as a crafting station to all related woodworking recipes. It also provides “Lumberjack” followers. There are no upgrade versions for the Lumbermill, but there will be a research tree to help expand its value. These details will be provided in future videos.

[Alchemy Lab]

This structure serves as a crafting station for potions and scrolls. The Alchemy Lab also allows the recruitment of “Alchemist” followers. The upgraded version provides more recipes as well as an enchantment station for weapon and armor enchants. The upgraded version also allows the recruitment of “Enchanter” followers. These details will be provided in future videos.

[Windmill]

This structure serves as a food production center. Food will become an important resource as it is needed for recruitment and the upkeep of your town. The Windmill also allows the import of unprocessed food which can be cheaper methods to feed your people. Vendors with unique food items will be available as well. There are no upgrade versions for the Windmill, but there will be a research tree to help expand its value. These details will be provided in future videos.

[Blacksmith]

This structure serves as a crafting station of weapons, armors, and smelting of metals. The blacksmith also allows “Forge Apprentice” followers. The upgraded version gives an enhanced smelter which allows higher returns from smelting raw metals. Also provided are more crafting recipes for weapons and armors. These details will be provided in future videos.

[Market]

This structure serves as the central trading hub of your town and will be the most important building since it can provide supplies and materials. The game will start with the basic Market, but it can be upgraded later to allow more variety of goods and better bulk sale prices on supplies. The Market allows the recruitment of “Adventurer” followers and the upgraded version allows the recruitment of “Mercenary” followers. These details will be provided in future videos.

[Houses]
Houses will provide shelter for your people as well as provide human resources for recruitment. Those who die will be replaced over time. The more people living in your town and the better the homes the more tax you will receive to help with your finances. These details will be provided in future videos.

[Final Thought]
Please keep in mind more buildings will be included in the early access as well as more features for the buildings already mentioned. We understand we’ve mentioned that more details will be mentioned in future videos and the reason for that is so everyone can understand we are taking things one step at a time. Also we wish to have a proper working version of the feature before we show it in a video.

Thanks again for reading this long-winded announcement and watching our video. Please leave us comments and feedbacks!
