May I suggest that the enemy AI gets the addition of hiding from sniper fire? Seems kinda strange having them run past windows being shot at and picked apart, very much dislike any human behavior of being shot at.

Of course, I'd like to make it better. This is probably how it'll be in the next demo though.

Yeah it was kind of fun for a while. But I'm going to turn it back down to something more human-like. Options are good so there'll probably be a slider for it somewhere.

Protip for human behavior is an ~3-4 second aimtime. Generally it takes a proficient shooter ~3 seconds to find, aim and fire at a target, which is why military personell are trained at not being exposed more than 3 seconds.

However closer to the target that the snipers aim is, making the AI recall where targets are hidden, could reduce the time.

This could be quantified into a nice mathematical equation for the AI I believe.

Thanks that will be a good reference. Hopefully the time will land somewhere in that region when I've modified the current parameters to more human-like speeds.

Another thought I have, but that will probably be for the campaign, is that the marksman won't fire at moving targets and only fire once they've been stationary for say 1-2 seconds. A botched shot in the campaign would put the hostages at unnecessary risk.

Me versus the computer as a marksman. The marksman AI is quite slick when its skill is dialed up.
