I played around with adding a pixelation censoring effect. I don't know if anyone would actually use it but it looks kind of cool and adds another sort of realism in a way. It is optional of course.

I should explain my thoughts a bit. well, Japanese porn comes to mind when censoring pubic, but you don't see much gore ever being blurred. I have seen codes to do things alternate to gore, like flowers and rainbows, or companies like Nintendo made other companies remove the gore, like mortal kombat. Or games that gave levels of gore, up to a ridiculous amount. Looking at Pixel gore just makes me crave more pixel gore.
What I've made now censors head injuries and pools on the floor. If I made it censor wounds on all body parts you could shoot them in the crotch and get your Japanese pixelation :P
Pixel gore should be a modifier! oh you should add a console, for popping in cheats, that's a big task tho, but it was like modding before modding.
I've been thinking about adding a console, it would not be too difficult actually. But so far the arguments in favor haven't tipped the scales. All the existing options are easily accessible from the menus. I think I'll add one when there are some commands that are better suited for that kind of execution.
Looks like the way they'd censore this type of stuff on the news, except maybe a bit less pixelated.
The uncensored version has no real effect on me but putting a pixelation over the gore suddenly makes it slightly disturbing again.
That's what was going for me too. The fact that it's pixelated kind of makes you think it must be covering something grisly.
