Blocks That Matter is a puzzle/platformer in which a tiny driller robot travels underground in order to save its creators, kidnapped by someone who wants to steal their work. You are this robot, the Tetrobot : you can drill blocks of matter one by one, collect them, and recycle them into new pieces of 4 blocks. You also have the possibility to destroy lines of 8+ blocks in a very «retro russian» game style. Sand, wood, stone, obsidian, iron, diamond : each matter has its specific behaviour you'll have to use wisely and take advantage of them. So get ready to use your brain and combine your platforming and puzzle-solving skills in this incredible mashup! Contains 100% natural Slime extract and a lot of love for videogames history.

UPDATE: if you contact HiB support via Humblebundle.com they are giving out Desura keys for Blocks That Matter. I hope that once we are supporting Voxatron and Binding of Isaac we will have keys for them also, but no promises there. Big thanks for the humble guys for showing their indie heart!

This is old, but still current. You can grab three games for any price you set yourself. The main dish is an alpha version of Voxatron. All three games are crossplatform as usual and are available on Mac, Win and Linux.

Be the first to tackle Voxatron -- a voxel-based, old-school-gone-new platform shooter. Pick up your trusty pea gun and shoot your way through more than twenty challenging areas. The included Voxde level editor grants you the ability to create mind-blowing new environments to share with the world. And, as a customer of the Humble Voxatron Debut, you'll receive access to all of Lexaloffle's future updates to Voxatron.

Dive into a twisted basement dungeon in The Binding of Isaac. Get ready for a delicious brew of randomly generated, Legend of Zelda-esque dungeons; Robotron-esque run-and-gun; and action-RPG progression. The recently launched Halloween update adds a ton of content -- a new chapter, new bosses, new enemies, new items, a new character, a new ending, and more!

Learn new tricks with tetrominoes in Blocks That Matter. In this award-winning, charismatic, platform-puzzler mashup, you play as the Tetrobot, a plucky robotic drill that assimilates blocks of varying materials and properties, like sand, wood, stone, obsidian, iron, and diamond. After absorbing blocks, you’ll need to recreate them in various tetromino-shaped patterns to solve puzzles and traverse levels.

If you haven't bought the newest bundle yet, there's still some time (7 days at the time of writing this).

did you get the key first?? you need to redeem it by contacting HIB and asking them for one for this game and then from the client you click on the blue button of desura > settings>games> then fill the key in the cdkey/gift space

Doesn t work on my Arch 64, both this version and the Humble Bundle one. It complains that
wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS32 (Possible cause: architecture word width mismatch)

Hi Skarn,

You may experiment an issue between your JRE (a Java 7 Jre ?) and the library we are using (LWJGL).

Here is the same error, with a different game:
Getsatisfaction.com

Apparently, adding the path to your jre in the LD_LIBRARY_PATH env var seem to workaround this issue.
If that workaround allow you to launch the game, then you should add this var to your bashrc in order to not have to do it every time you launch your OS.

If you want to talk about that, please send me some email at:
guillaume(at)swingswingsubmarine(dot)com

I will see the message quicker than in the comments here :]

Thanks!

Guillaume

Read the update at the top of feillyne's announcement of the HiB Voxatron bundle; looks like contacting HiB support can help you get your Desura keys for BTM.

I've just sent them an e-mail now, we'll see how it goes, and I'll report back with the results :-)
