Block Story is a great role playing PC game where you build with blocks and can explore to your heart’s content. Today more than 3,000,000 gamers around the world have downloaded it to their mobile phones. And since Block Story has full compatibility between PC and mobile devices, you can move your worlds between your phone and PC allowing you to continue your Block Story adventure at home and on the go. Cool Features * Ten expansive ecosystems to build in and explore * Summon five different creatures to join you in combat * Fantasy/middle ages art style * Level up, grow stronger and battle on * Hours of quest game play and fun
First hour or so is slow and boring as you slowly grind your way through the first couple of quests that require you to seek out lots of blocks/mobs which are hard to access due to slow mining speed and bad combat ability, but it picks up and becomes great after that. Flying around floating islands, building coliseums with creature spawners, and spelunking downwards forever through hell make this pretty unique!
No heart, no soul, no atmosphere, just a bunch of half finished idea's thrown together. The best way to describe it is a cluttered hires texture pack version of Minecraft with half finished features, uninteresting world generation and out of place enteties.
Impression written for the current version. Who knows, it might improve.
A pretty poor game IMHO. I bought it a fair while ago after checking out the community which seemed good but a good community doens't make up for a poor game.
The whole thing felt very clunky and put me off.
Seeing as it is not in the Indie Royale bundle I jsut purchased (there goes my £6 of support for the devs early on)I decided to retry it thinking it would be at a playable level now.
Nope, still really really not good.
It's still clunky and the whole thing feels weighted and without purpose. There are much better voxel/pixel based survival games out there.
