After an intense month of hacking and working hard on it, we have released version 5.0 of Block Story.
The changelog is ridiculously big. We have incorporated suggestions from our desura customers, as well as from other sources.
We went through 7 beta tests to make sure we delivered a quality product that you will enjoy. Easily, this is our largest release ever.
Major features include Creative Mode, Teleporting, a Radar, speed improvements and separate chests.
Enjoy the fruit of our labor, we have put our heart into it.

This game is just stunning its visuals. First few minutes that i played this game i was utterly impressed. This game may have a tiny things that are similar to minecraft ,but has excesscive things that minecraft doesnt have. Man i just got to give thanks to the developer for making this game he is a indie developer 0_0. I have been playing this for a while now and i have some questions / criticism
What is the penalization everytime you die and have to respaw? I enjoy the game but I miss the tension, the fear that you were feeling in minecraft when you have colleted some precious diamond and you knew you will lose it if you die. In this game i don't feel this nice tension, I don't need to run and get inside my home to feel safe. Night doesn't seem more dangerous than day, many enemies they won't come to kill you unless you are too close to them, night and caves are not so dark cause the mineral stones light up everything and I think also there are too many minerals so at the end you get tired of digging minerals and leave them there!.
The water looks weird, at least on the pc version. when you are on the surface you can actually see through the water as if it wasn't there, you can see really far away into the water.. and then you get inside the water and you don't see as far as before. Also could be nice to have infinite world up and down, but it doesn't look good to have water just standing up there..
In general I think i would be much more grateful if the game were getting more balanced, and all the features already implemented were cleaned from bugs and focus on the game experience instead of adding more and more things!.
Just some thoughts.. i could be wrong in my point of view and i am thankful this is getting updated so often.
you lose experience when you die. It is very hard to level up if you die all the time.
For better water, turn on fog in the graphics settings, we don't do it by default because it affects performance on some devices.

I like the game and I have had it for a while now but to be honest the first day I played it I got really boring very quickly. I started playing again but there is just a few problems, what bothers me is how the weapons decrease by number when you use them only once, could you please replace that with maybe weapon condition so that the weapon deteriorates over time instead of the numbers, the other problem is that you move to fast and it feels like your playing Quake. If you could just fix these minor issues I would be soo happy. Thank you
If you make 10 swords at a time that last 1 hit, it is the exact same thing as 1 sword that lasts 10 hits. The only difference is that this way you know exactly how long they last.
If I simply changed how I display the weapon duration and just divide the current number by 10 it would be what you are asking for yet not change gameplay in any way.
yes, just wait a couple days, for now only the desura client version is available, I have submitted the standalone version and it is pending approval.
