BioShock v1.1 PC Patch
Jan 02, 2008 Patch 0 commentsUpgrade BioShock to v1.1 with this patch.* *If you purchased a digital distribution copy of BioShock (i.e. from Direct2Drive, Steam, or other), do NOT...
After your plane crashes into icy uncharted waters, you discover a rusted bathysphere and descend into Rapture, a city hidden beneath the sea. Constructed as an idealistic society for a hand picked group of scientists, artists and industrialists, the idealism is no more. Now the city is littered with corpses, wildly powerful guardians roam the corridors as little girls loot the dead, and genetically mutated citizens ambush you at every turn.

This game is a great example of how a game should be done...
This was exactly what i expected...a excellent title all i can say is WOW!.
Looks great...runs great...DX10 is not the big thingie but it does improve Smoke, shadows and water Effects with no FPS cost :).
I have tested this game on many pcs...with many specs...and OMG...it runs so well...
8800 gts 320mb + X2 4200 + 2gbs ram = GREAT FPS, NO SLOWDOWS, ALL ON HIGH WITH DX10 and 1680*1050.
8600 GT + P4 3.0 + 2 gb ram = GOOD FPS, NO SLOWDOWS, ALL ON HIGH DX10 WITH 1280*1024
7600 GT + P4 3.0 + 1gb ram = GOOD FPS, Some hickups (20 fps) ALL ON HIGH DX9 WITH 1024*768
The game runs really well on Mid range machines and fucking great on high end, and can still be played with decent FPS on low end machines.
I wish more games were like this :D!
If u havent played this...then you must!.
Now i wish someone start makings mods of this game :D.
ok, first things first, I have to run it on low settings, cant even crack 800x600 with a decent frame rate. Have 2Gb ram and 128mb vid card. So thats the down side. For reference I get good frame rate and good specs from HL2 and BF2142, and fantastic action from UT2004. If these struggle on your PC dont bother until you upgrade or get the 360 version.
BUT... apart from that the game is fantastic, the "world" is complex, the sound design brilliant and the look and feel of the whole thing is just wonderful. The weapons are original (the Plasmids anyway) and the puzzles just right.
The 'actors' are a little wooden and certainly dont have the rag doll feel of HL2, but this could be my frame rate, I dont know.
hope you enjoy, I am only chapter 2 into it and it is becoming more and more involving and you become part of the world.
Stroganoff
Needs a multiplayer mod.
Will this game possibly support mods?!? i hope so!!!!!!
I just beat the game and I must say this really dose deserve all the 9's and 10's its been getting now all I need is for some one to start makein some good singe player mods while I go play bio for the good ending.

If you kill the little girls in the game you get points for vending machiens
i have 880 ram and need 1 gig...... just my luck
no doubt.
Did you watch the game play trailer at e3, its gunna rock trust me...
if anyone wanted to know the requirements En.wikipedia.org has them near the botom of the page
I do hope the dev's put some effort in to make the game assessable to modder’s
from what i have seen at e3 it looks like its gona be one kick ass game.
Um, it's getting the hype because it's predecessors (System Shock, System Shock 2) were some of the most amazing and revolutionary PC games ever made. I only HOPE this game is 50% of what SS and SS2 were, then it would be the best game put out in the last few years. I highly suggest you try to find a copy of System Shock 2, it's incredible.
