BIONITE: Origins™ is a futuristic first-person shooter & real-time strategy hybrid. The core gameplay consists of piloting hovertanks in first-person, destroying other tanks or structures, commanding your squad to attack/defend certain targets, and a full strategy mode with base-building in the Strat game-mode.

Ok, so I know this will be archived by the admins on the site and it won't see the front page so straight tot he point and no fluff.

We haven't posted a lot here for the simple reason that we haven't been able to break any major barriers in the past month. The UDK engine doesn't have the AI system we need so we had to rebuild that from what they had. That has taken A LOT of time on our main programmers part. Also, as we are trying to get the basics for things like menus refined and little things like bugs that make things crash to go away. When this is done our goal is to have a nearly completed 1st level with a good part of the interface that made the original BZ game so great along with the unique game play that we all know and love.

Until then, as is the case with most indie games, things progress slowly and we don't have big news updates for you that often.

Were almost done with the last alpha. We had to take a few weeks to raise the funds that we didnt get on Kickstarter. Now that we have the funds needed to finish the game, well be moving forward fairly quickly. I will be posting updates once a week/bi-weekly until the game is finished. As soon as the last alpha is posted, i will send out an announcment on our forums and post the link here. Let me know if you have any questions about the game. We really appreciate the support from our community on ModDb/IndieDB! -LtF

Will people who track the game still get access to the multiplayer beta or not? Just curious.

This game might be worth the $15 asking price if the vehicle physics can be corrected. As it stands don't expect anything like the original Battlezone series ship maneuvering characteristics.Currently the handling is difficult, unstable and has some degree of unpredictability. You may enjoy the modelling aspects as they appear to be pretty good, however a coherence of the map layouts has yet to be clearly defined.Unto itself, this game could resonable be enjoyed. But if your looking a Battlezone successor you may want to look elsewhere or consider waiting until (if ever) some of these issues can be resolved.

Footnote: there is still an outstanding question as to what actually has happened with the $21,457 raised during the kickstarter campaign. (buyers beware)

Lee, can you move all of these conversations to private messages?

Its clear you do not like John, but on all of the many sites you have been posting, its actually hurting Bionite as a whole.

I may not be (currently) doing anything for the project, but I still support it.

I sincerely regret any subsequent harm the project may be experiencing.Yet I must point out that there would have been No messages if John had not chosen to be dishonest with his claim to have created the Bionite subject.
You of all people know the truth in this matter.I'm not sure why he has chosen to take this path..but I think it is in poor judgment to have done so.I would think that anyone considering to support the Bionite endeavour, should know just who and what they are getting involved in.
I thought it in good judgment to make this matter public primarily to set the record straight,Yet also to help prevent anyone else from having thier concepts hijacked.
If it had been someone of a lessor stature other than the project lead, this may have not have seemed such a poignant issue. But when peoples funds are invovled they should know full well what kind of people they are dealing with.

Give it up Lee, this isn't the right place for this and you are filling the page up with too many uncalled for comments. Send John a private message instead.

Of course they're uncalled for Dan. John would never call for the truth to be known.

It's unfortunate things happened the way they did and some certain comments were made, but it's time to move on. Best of luck guys.
