Avert's fun, free and addictive game Billy's Goat has been officially released on iOS!

Billy's Goat has been available on all Android devices for a few weeks now, and has finally granted the Apple Store its blessing! Billy's Goat was a game created by a team of three from Avert Studios during the BIGDA 48Hour Game Making Challenge 2014.

The three words that set the theme for the challenge were Guard, Sacrifice and Wave. Team Avert's programmer Liam Kelly worked around the clock to smooth out the bugs and polish the gameplay for the presentation on Sunday 5th October at 4pm. Nothing was added to the gameplay when the team returned home for some much needed sleep, and in the following week it was submitted to the Android and Apple Stores.

The game revolves around Billy Bob and his pet goat, Skittles - both of these close friends are pictured gallantly riding to freedom, picking off the waves of chasing palace guards. Using your fast reflexes, it's up to you to weave Billy and Skittles around the oncoming obstacles from your right, and avoid being caught by incoming guards to your left! Remember, you can trigger the guards to explode by shooting arrows at them (the power of friendship endowed arrows is a force to be reckoned with!)

If you are playing this game now and want to let us know how much you like it, visit Billy's Goat Facebook page and give us a little like! Feel free to send us any feedback, tips and improvements, or give Billy's Goat a review on Indie DB.

Keep a keen eye on Avert to keep up to date with our upcoming projects and goodies, and enjoy!
