Beyond The Lines

Beyond the Lines is a game set in the times of the American Civil War.

You are Floyd Bagis, a Union soldier in the middle of the American Civil War. A simple pull out past Richmond has turned the last stand for human life within America. Metallic monstrosities have poured out in seemingly endless numbers, and are attacking any man, woman, and child they find. Fight your way through a destroyed Richmond and stop the threat of the Robots for good!

Good luck soldier!

Yep, you read right. After the Atmospheric Demo is released, Support for a PSP version of Robotic Rebellion will be dropped.
Now, as much as this makes all of us want to cry into a pillow for 9 and a half months, This is for the greater good.

There are multiple reasons why we are not going to support the PSP version much longer, here are some of those reasons

As we all know, the PSP section of MODDB and INDIEDB is fading very fast, and a complete version of Robotic Rebellion will take quite a bit of time, more than we have left. We are afraid to spend all of this time, effort and money just to see that only a few people will play this.

As many of you know, the best PSP FPS engine available is DarkQuake, which albeit a very good engine, it is still not enough. It does not bring out 100% of what the PSP is capable of, even if the PSP is overclocked to the maximum. Along with the fact that we are using a nearly 20 year old engine, on a 10 year old system that the engine is not designed for. Creating our own engine would take about as much of the time to create the game itself, in which time is the one thing that we do not have.

The PSP release will mainly be a small section of the world of Robotic Rebellion in which the player can traverse what is available, and fight whatever gets into the players way. There will be a few extra maps that will not be directly available throughout the world, but you can still access them via the menu (Keep in mind, some of the maps will crash, and others may or may not be test maps)
Survival Mode will not be present within the PSP version, but very basic parts of it may be included here and there. A few weapons will be available for you to try out within some of the test maps, but other than that, its just a demo.

We plan to continue work as normal, and we are currently experimenting with the Unity and Unreal for the PC version.

We will eventually have this released and extended on PC and hopefully other consoles. Atmosphere is one of our main priorities, so Virtual Reality is something that we are eyeing (Oculus Rift, Possible 3DS)

Even when the PSP version will come and go, We hope that you all will stick around to see how this game progresses. The big reason why we want to finish this game is not money, not fame, but YOU, because the community is what keeps us going. We are always happy to answer questions, and are always open to ideas from you guys.

Good luck to us, and everyone!

Oh! So you actually waited and developed the game a little bit before putting it into moddb?

That is so rare man!

This game is being worked on every day, we noticed why the game died, and we are doing all we can to avoid it happening again. I understand that the trolling will continue, but if you have any ideas or constructive criticism, please head over to the forums and bring it up!

Well i didn't expect this to die so early. My my, guess leaving these kinds of mods to youngsters is to sad to watch. I hate it when good content is wasted get that first load of hard work done next thing you know the mod dies as soon as its published. :P In my Day. Just kidding.

Sorry, but I might just leave this mod to die. It seems I work on it 24/7 and I even have a playable alpha on my desktop, but none of my work is appricated. I know everyone here thinks I'm a noob.. And I am, in some ways. When I first got my team together the_lonely_piggy kept telling me over and over to make a moddb page. I thought it was normal to make a page with little to nothing done. So I made the page thinking it was perfectly normal. I soon figured out that it wasn't, so me being the nice person I am, I took the blame for piggy. I decided to leave the page up because I thought the hate would eventually stop once I got some content up.. It didn't, so I guess my first mod failed because I was a big enough idiot to believe the_lonely_piggy and make a moddb page so soon. So I am sorry for looking like such a fool, and now everyone hates me. I guess this is a goodbye to the modding community. Thanks piggy.

Sorry Duke. I deleted your comment out of rage. I went to click the "undelete" button, but
My broswer crashed. Hmm I guess I'm just to much of a "noob" Also, the 3 pictures of the map that was posted was not posted by me, it was posted by another member of the team. And piggy, sorry. I must have read on Skype wrong about who kept telling me to make the moddb page. Forgive me?
