Fireballs & pickups
I would like to share some work I've completed on Belfry Brawl, my Super Smash Bros/Towerfall like brawler. This time I wanted to share some of the pickups I'm implementing.
While playing a match with items enabled, the game will spawn in a pickup every now and again contra style.
The pickup will start left or right on the screen and will move towards the other side of the screen in a wave motion.
Currently i've added 7 pickups in total:
Drill:
This little fireball is excelent in a level with loads of walls. Surprise your enemy by shooting right through it:
and here is the item as it floats temptingly through the air just waiting for its next wielder:
Vector:
This little fireball is excelent when you like to shoot around corners. It's a little bit short ranged but it will turn a 90 degree corner if a enemy is near.

Long fireball:
This fireball will take you far, it has the biggest range of all the fireballs. Surprise that enemy at the far end of the arena!
Big fireball:
This fireball takes up a lot of space,it is slightly slow but there is no ducking underneath it!
Armor:
Dying to quickly? Pick up the armor and you'll be able to take a extra hit!
look at that nice grey skin! now nobody will dare mess with you.
Rapid fire:
The name says it all, pick this up and you'll fire your current fireball twice as fast. Although only for a limited time.
