Developers around the world have created great music games and adventure platformers. They have even created amazing games like Bit.Trip Runner and Audiosurf which are somehow a middle point between music and other genres. But none of them have created one game that really blends the music mechanics with action. On the one hand, the games like Bit.Trip Runner or Geometry Dash are related to the music tempo, but the players don't really play to the rhythm of music. If they tried to play to the beat, they would fail. On the other hand, in games like Guitar Hero, players do play to the rhythm of music, but the game doesn't provide an experience further than following the dots over the lines and matching the beats. Story Premise

Beat Boy is a shy teenager who is mysteriously tormented in his dreams by demons, bad spirits and evil robots. He doesn’t know if he is cursed or if he needs to solve a mystery to survive all the evil forces that are working against him. He’s obsessed with the finding the truth and must vanquish his tormentors to solve the mystery.

Fortunately, he is not alone in his nightmares. He falls in love with an enigmatic girl who provides clues to reveal tools, weapons and armor that enhance his abilities to new levels he never thought possible. With these new abilities he will infiltrate and connect to his nightmares with a special sense of time and space: music. He discovers music is the key to conquer his fears, enemies and will enable his survival. While the battles take place in his deepest dreams he also discovers it affects the real world when he is awake. He longs to meet the girl of his dreams in reality.
