Description

Beasts of Bermuda is a multiplayer game hosting large servers in which the player is a dinosaur or other prehistoric creature. The player becomes part of a living, player-created ecosystem. The objective is to survive on one of the islands within Bermuda, meeting needs for food, water, and stress while evading predation from other players.

It may appear to be an island paradise at first, but this can quickly change. The map generates randomized weather events which can become quite intense. When severe enough, these storms cause lightning, which can spark forest fires that propagate across the map. The ocean also surges during hurricanes, causing the water level to rise, sometimes to extreme levels. If players do not take refuge from these kinds of storms, they risk dying to exposure, and accumulation of extreme stress.

In Beasts of Bermuda, along with terrestrial animals, the player chooses from a wide variety of creatures that harbor unique niches, stretching both into the sea and into the air. Along with traditional carnivores and herbivores, piscivores and aquatic creatures allow the player to become part of an underwater environment. Some animals like our Ichthyovenator are adept at both swimming and traversing land, allowing them full roam of the entire map.
The maps are designed with tides, caves, islands, and migration in a way that guarantees interaction between these worlds.

We have a unique skin customization system that allows the player to create an infinite variety of skins. If they’re feeling lazy, we also have a skin randomizer that generates random, natural looking skins too.
