About Battlefield 2 HARDCORE with 11 comments by Reanimator[UA] on May 7th, 2015

Ladies and gentlemen! Please welcome: Urban Raid!

Providing players large space for battles, this map perfectly suits Battlefield 2 HARDCORE concept. It is a combination of huge flat terrains and tightly placed buildings which allows both vehicle and infantry fights.

Urban Raid is available in three sizes: 16, 32 and 64. Gamemodes: conquest, coop, singleplayer.

  • On small size there is mostly infantry combat with additional of cars and some armoured vehicles. USMC start from Harbor control point located on the coast.
  • Medium size provides players more space and brings air vehicles into the battle. US forces start from the aircraft carrier and are equipped with two Black Hawks for quick moving deep into the city.
  • Finally large size opens for players all capabilities of this great map. Except transport helicopters, USMC here have AH-1Z Cobra and F-15. MEC forces however exceed on the ground with lots of armoured vehicles and two Tunguskas.

This map is designed for multiplayer, but also can be played in Co-op or SP modes since there is bot support on this map for all three sizes.
Furthermore, this map will be added to map rotation on VBIOS #7 | HARDCORE server.

All of those new modders can't mod for ****, it's all started with those CAT guys who started to port weapons from battlefield p4f and then pand it slowly deteriorated that people began to use imported content only (and maybe some little ****** content of their own) and also people started to steal from mods too.
Now we have mods like this ****** Medal of Freedom mod that uses imports only and mix it into rubbish mod and rubbish story line and they started to catch themselves as expert modders...where is the days when mods actually used their own content only? if you will check the last pages of the modding section you will understand how people actually created their own mods with their own content only...there was no such thing called importing from other games or using mostly imported content...people actually tried to mod.
I miss the days when people like InSovietRussia was around and helped the cummunity...I miss the days when mods like Australian Forces and operation peacekeeper stunned us...this days are gone and now we have all this ****** importers like Koala bear's Medal of freedom mod and thieves like Emiliomau that port models from other games and call them his own content.
RIP Good old bf2 days

Well if you hate imports then try my mod I am making new skins textures and stuff. But I didn't start at all. What programs you modders use for making new stuff?

I agree, most of these pirate mods are rubbish and have many crashes during gameplay

Hey don't blame me, blame mods such as the Medal of Freedom Honor Call of BattleDuty Freedom Phantom Warrior what ever **** its called.

I don't claim to be the best modder but at least we have learnt to make stuff originally. We have had mappers from the beginning and now we have modellers and animators. Think about that next time you point the finger.

This isn't the first time though, I guess not many people like us. I can see why Gordon left.

I agree with Emilio as one of these new modders. There are a few tutorials that cover certain things, mainly mapping and textures. I learn as much as I can from other mods and modders. Also, the ability to use content from BFP4F is a gift. It saves a lot of time but it also opens up thousands of new possibilities.

killed was more than old models that did not pass the knowledge to the new generation. the error was not one of the new

Em0_Cat Oct 21 2014, 8:12am replied:

I guess Emiliomau meant that the technique to make models is not passed down to the next generation. The former modders did not make a guide about how to create models like vehicles and guns and render them. After they left the community non or less of the new modders know how to do it. They only know how to port contents since some contents are ready-made. If you want this to stop post a tutorial about how to make own models, not saying rip good old bf2 around. This wont help.

Yes I agree 100% with all that has been said here and of course this totally justifies the reason to port from games that fall under copyrighted laws. Now I can see that the new generation of BF2 modders have shortage of not only morality, but brains as well.

You can browse on Google for tutorials on how to make 3d weapon models like here: so I don't think that is an excuse

Yeah, but that kind of tutorials are rather small in amount given the immense time and resources it needs. And most people are lazy nowadays looking for tuts and crap

You people are just greedy for this, this is a model from bf4 and this prick is importing them illegaly. Greedy faggots where is the days when people created their own ******* models instead of porting weapons and models from other ******* games?! today we have crap like "Medal of freedom" and another ****** mods that import ******* everything and call it masterpiece, RIP BF2 Actual modding.

Sanwu Nov 24 2014, 6:55pm replied:

Of course there's less and less bf2 modding as the game becomes more and more outdated, there is basically no reason other than just love for any serious modder to stick with bf2, and large portion of today's bf2 modding community is made up of semi-skilled people who learned how to mod through basically stealing others stuff and putting them into their own mods. And there is very limited amount of tutorials available nowadays on how to mod such an old game, if you have a question you basically have to either find somebody who already knew that knowledge or figure it out on your own, new modders have to spend extraordinary amount of effort to get help with simple issues, it is painful. With the community losing people day by day, those who "steal" others stuff to make rather good quality "mods" will probably take over large parts of the community because most the serious modder will be gone eventually.
