Battlefield 2 PC game

Great game.. Patches will most definitely fix any probs with game. Had to upgrade RAM and Video card just to play this game..

this was a really good game but they really should have done good on singleplayer like i tried to get the 64 bots but it NEVER works and i keep on trying to get it to work!!

I'm a Valve game fan myself but I bought this and had to upgrade my computer for it, best £60 I have ever spent.

This games been released for almost a month now...

why doesn't this game have a rating?
Anyways, I love it, it's great!

any1 thinks that BF2 engine looks like almost source

I've never played BF 1942 but have played other online games such as CS and CS Source. So far my favourite online game has been Day of Defeat but I bought BF 2 this weekend and have been very impressed so far.
Operation Flashpoint was one of my favourite games for many years beacuse of the sheer size of the maps and unique gameplay that was challenging but also highly rewarding when you finally cracked a level.
The one let down of that was the online side because it seemed that everyone was online playing something else like Counter Strike. Great though CS was I found myself too often on the wrong end of a headshot from some hero with a pistol from about 100 metres away despite me having an AK and loosing off thye best part of mag at him. Never quite understood that cos I was fairly useful on Day of Defeat but there you go.
Amyway back to BF2. I have been playing it on Singleplayer so far and the bots seem pretty good (3 levels of difficulty) so far. They dive in the vehicles, fly about causing mayhem, etc and also tend to try and close in for a kill with the knife at short range much like real people. So far I have had problems getting online cos my system seems to lock up and crash when I try to connect but I'm not sure if that is a server issue, some firewall problem pr the game itself. The game plays well though. For anyone familiar with first person shooters the keys are similar but there appears to be a ranking system that unlocks better weapons for each class the more you play online. The classes seem well balanced and I like the fact that the less popular classes such as the medic and the engineer get points for doing their job as well as killing the enemy. Makes for an interesting game.
Have to see how it ans out online though. As too often despite programmers' best intentions to create a tactical game it becomes too hard to play and people just end up running about trying to rack up kills.
