This epic sequel will immerse you in a world of intrigue, adventure and fierce combat where your ability to discern the difference between these sides - with the assistance of steel and spell - determines your fate.

Your story begins anew in the exotic southern kingdom of Amn, amidst the opulence of the sinister capital city of Athkatla. Journey through the fierce, unforgiving wilderness of Amn, and through the treacherous caverns of the Underdark, in your quest for artifacts of awesome power and treasure of inestimable wealth.. even challenge dragons, if you dare. Such is the life of a legend.

Hundreds of monsters and characters to discover, and all new magic spells to master. Richer quests and sub-quests to undertake, for good or for evil. A massive gaming world, hundreds of hours of gameplay! Not to mention the countless number of mods available extending this already awesome game!

BG2 is hands down one of the greatest games ever made. It's on my list with StarCraft, Goleneye, and others. As far as CRPG's go, I find it to be without equal. And the sheer number of mods available for this game are IMMENSE. If you go out and look at the more popular BG2 fan sites, you will find that the mods available for this game are among the largest in any gaming community, except for HL1 perhaps.

The game itself is a triumph, and a true pleasure to play. I still play it to this day off and on, and have for the past 5 years.

One of the top 10 games of all time. I'm still playing it! You're not a real roleplayer until you've killed a dragon.

I would argue that Baldur's Gate II is the greatest game ever created for PC. Similar to its predecessor (Baldur's Gate) but superior in every conceivable way Baldur's Gate II is an epic story telling of not only the path you make, but the friends your character makes, the villains he fights, and the Forgotten Realm he lives in. The story alone, with hundreds of branches, multiple plotlines that interweave could make a text adventure that would put most modern games to shame. We haven't even touched…
