Love this game, had a quick go or two last night which turned out to be 2-3 hours longer than I'd anticipated :) Thank you to the developers for supporting Desura and Linux :) (although I'm having a problem getting the Linux version to work at the moment, it launches but crashes after the comic strip bit before the game starts, on both OpenSuse 12.1 and Ubuntu 11.04).

The update should have fixed that problem for you. I run it on Ubuntu 10.10 and 11.10 AMD64 without any issues.

Doesn't work on 64 architecture without tweaking a lot (with intel graphics of course, with nvidia it's ok)... I don't want to tweak anymore so much on linux (I haven't neither time or patience anymore) so even if the game is very nice it goes directl to the trash!

I had the same problem... If you have a notebook then unplug your external mouse and try to start the game... That work for me.. After game start you can plug in the mouse agian.

And solved by installing lib32-nvidia-utils. If it can help anyone else... :)

This is a great game, if you enjoy a little more of a casual and quick thinking strategy game. I find myself coming back to this game once and a while just to enjoy the music (I'm not usually a surfer music guy, but they did a good job with it). The graphics aren't high tech, but they weren't going for bleeding edge. Instead, a game like this concentrates more on concept.

Of a truth the best part of this game is the multiple ways in which you can approach it. Strategies must be applied on both mission and map interactions, as well as target missions, to yield more scientists for research, or more civillians, which tend to earn more as missions get harder.

Also, I love the elephantbird gun. It's something you just have to do to understand.
