Ash Dawn is a fantasy MMORPG with the main focus on non-instanced world activity. Creating a place where conflict is inevitable. Take part in town sieges, locking down the opposing faction from doing quests in the area while earning yourself a massive reputation bonus. Follow epic quests into the enemy's territory. Get epic gear by increasing your reputation to the max. Or take it easy and follow the captivating story lines. But whatever you do, stay vigilant.

Legends of Strife's World Editor is new and improved. Take a look behind the scene of how a MMORPG world is being created.

At first the Strife World Editor was only able to edit the Height Map (the hills and terrain) of Legends of Strife. But a world is made up of more than just mountains, there's also the grass and roads and dirt that need to be painted on the mountains giving them definition and life. And then there's what's on top of the land: the trees and houses that fill up the world.

The new World Editor features include: Finer Height Map tools, to add variation to previously flat areas. Terrain texture painting, allowing me to paint directly on the land where previously I was working in a completely separate program using guesswork. Adding Objects, like trees, barrels, houses and rocks (which I used to place using co-ordinates in notepad). Here's a video showing off my new toy:

I plan on posting some comparison pictures after I work on the world for a while, the new tools will make the world creation much faster so the landscape should fill up quickly.

We also updated the "Character Select" and "Character Create" screens:

Characters are rotatable!

Check out the new class icons: warrior (top left), mage (top right), assassin (bottom left) and necromancer (bottom right).

Much cooler if I say so myself. Legends of Strife is only going to grow for here on.
