ARMA 3, the latest installment of the tactical military simulation game from independent developers Bohemia Interactive, creators of the award-winning mil-sim series Arma.

Survive, Adapt, Win
After years of intense warfare against Eastern armies, Europe has become the last stand for the battered NATO forces. On the verge of being driven into the sea, NATO command embarks upon a most desperate measure. In the hope of seizing what seems to be a well-guarded military secret, Operation Magnitude is launched. A small group of Special Forces and Researchers are sent to a Mediterranean island deep behind enemy lines. However, the mission is compromised and the task force destroyed, leaving Cpt. Scott Miller washed ashore upon the hostile island. In his effort to carry out the mission, he will face the dangers of modern warfare, an unforgiving environment, and the consequences of his own decisions...

  • Survive in the rich & authentic environment
  • Adapt to the unsurpassed experience of modern ground combat
  • Win the open-ended & story-driven campaign

Combining the strength of its predecessors with radical engine improvements, Arma 3 provides a unique experience of sandbox-oriented combat gameplay in the most detailed environment of the series.

Blog RSS Feed Report abuse Latest News: Work on new textures

About CSA38 (Czechoslovak army 1938) with 4 comments by petrtlach on Sep 21st, 2014

Work on the mod is still going on. We get questions, if we can release at least a small package of weapons. Making small package would be in the present situation more work than issue "Alpha". Also we removed alpha version of mod for ArmA II: OA and had the latest version - the "beta", which is the current version of February 2014th

video I want to show that mod is already in the functional version.

And work at new textures:

MG34 new model and texture

MG34 functional test (video with old texture)

M.P.38 new texture

Rifle Mannlicher M1895 new texture

I like this modern-futuristic concept, looks like ghost recon in sandbox.
+1 for nvidia physic. Mediterranean is very cool place for game, i hate Chernogorski because is too depressive for me.
I dont understand what is Merkava 4 doing in game ? Will be IDF in game ?
What means "Easter army" ? New Warshaw pact ? Or mixed Chinese and Russian ?

The only true modern war series.

Don't really like this one's setting though, too sci-fi with some mythical "Eastern army" that NATO could beat any time in real life. The regular USA vs Russia or USA vs some minor middle eastern country would've been better.

Yes, because a rehash of every military game for the past 5 years is what we need more of.

but the mythical army could be a sino russian army which i'm sure NATO would have a hell of a time fighting. considering they are having a rough time getting rid of the insurgents in the middle east

they are only having trouble getting rid of them because they like to fire at the Coalition soldiers then drop the guns and pretend to be civilians

very true, but they are also at a disadvantage on technological level where a Sino-Russain army would have the same amount of man power if not more and they are technologically on the same level as the NATO forces so I think that they would have many troubles.

I wanna see the way damage and injuries work. Will I blow a hole in that tank or a "hole". Will That .50 caliber machine gun tear that man to shreds or will it "tear him to shreds".

I like the concept of the ARMA Games, but they just played too poorly for me to enjoy them. I hope ARMA 3 is a lot better.
