Arkanius is a 2D Retro-Styled Fantasy MMORPG. It is currently in development, however, already has many features.

There is a very interactive and deep quest system, a weather system, player housing, leveled and experience based skills including cooking, woodcutting, mining, tailoring, leatherworking, blacksmithing, fishing, harvesting, alchemy, crafting, carpentry and enchanting.

The player can also build and customize their own ship and caravan. This allows them to transport party members, while the party members interact with each other inside the caravan/ship the player can be outside transporting them to a location. The caravan and ship can also be named and the interior of both customized fully with furniture and much more.

The player can fight solo or in parties, participate in social events including last-man-standing PvP events on distant islands and much more.

There is magic, projectile and melee weapons. The characters have their equipment paperdolled in harmony with each other, equipment including shoulder armour, cloaks, helmets, amulets, quivers, shields, armour, weapons, belts, gloves, boots and rings in which can all be worn without any cluttered look whatsoever.

Characters can be personalized to the players own choice through many hairstyles and colours.

There is a very close knit community in the forums and nearly all suggestions (so long as they comply with the games atmosphere and feel) are implemented (the people whose suggestions are implemented are also credited!).

When users have accounts on the Arkanius client they will now be given the option to link their website and client accounts.

This will add a button to the bottom of each of their posts and also another button on their forums profile linking to their character's profile.

On the character's profile there will be all of that character's skill levels and experience. Their total NPC and player kills, gold found, playing time, the date they started playing and more.

Looks like it's off to a good start - do you have any special features planned that can't be found elsewhere, or do you plan to simply make it as good a genre piece as possible?

The ability to allow other party members to be transported via your ship and caravan (which can be kept outside towns in stables)(they can be inside interacting with each other) while you navigate them somewhere, I haven't seen this in an mmorpg before. A gm will be found in a castle situated somewhere in the game where players can queue and get on the spot face-to-face assistance from GMs, I understand it can be very frustrating waiting for tickets. Characters will be able to own multiple customized (exterior and interior) properties like cottages, farms where you can build pens, stables, etc.., castles and much more, your party can view these properties with you. :] These I haven't seen in another mmorpg, yet. This is going to be a compilation sewn with HUGE love for the genre including all my favourite features from titles as old as Ultima IV to modern titles, RPGs and MMORPGs. I've played literally - hundreds of RPGs and MMORPGs. I'm trying to make the perfect 2D mmorpg. :]
