Description

We're making a minor, but still significant change to the armor system. Instead of just a penetration/no penetration system based on whether or not the ship still has armor in that direction, armor gets thickness.

And weapons get armor piercing values. If a weapon's armor piercing potential is more than twice the armor of the target, it's going to overmatch, dealing very little damage. If the armor is stronger than the weapon's penetration value, the shot doesn't go in, and only causes damage to the armor. If the weapon is able to penetrate the armor, but not go out the other side, the weapon applies full damage.

Left to right: Overmatch, glancing blow, perfect hit
