It looks like an ordinary tank. Would be nice if there would be a visual detail that indicates this vehicle has somethig to do with fire. You know, like the counterpart from Nod in C&C games. Unless its only an upgrade.
That's kind of the problem with flamethrowers, though; People tend to like to shoot them first if they notice them.
Maybe axing the external fuel tanks on all the other tanks, and only have them on this one?
I mean, from what I've noticed, the core gameplay already revolves around naval engagements over relatively small islands, unless the cans are for potable water instead, I don't exactly see operational range as being an immediate necessity.
Experience players shoot them anyway whenever they need to. But thats not the point I wanted to make, it was about esthetic. If all units look similar and none is really outstanding, then it is kinda boring for the eye - realism and tactics aside. Though Rho's answer at this topic was satisfying IMO.
The fuel tanks will stand out when it's textured (they're the parts on top and the back of the turret), but not as much as in CnC. I'll probably make them green.
The fuel hungers.
burn baby burn!
Guard the tanks well.
I can't tell if it is using a gas based flamethrower or a liquid based. Currently it looks like a mixture of both.
