Yep, Aqua Rhapsody has been updated to v0.24, assuming you haven't read the title :P . Quite a few changes in this update...
Brief story: I like to show off Aqua Rhapsody at school. Who wouldn't? Problem is, we had to use our brains to keep track of high score... and what's the fun in that?
So, I've added a feature that keeps track of the highest score during a game. Right now, your high scores go away once you close the game out (just like an old arcade machine!), but I'll look into the possibility of permanently saving high scores.
From the previously-mentioned showing off of my game at school, it seemed like no one understood what the in-game voice was saying. Instead of rerecording the lines so people can understand what it was saying, therefore ruining the joke, I've decided to add in the option to turn on subtitles for the in-game voice.
And look, I even gave them the "Anime-Subtitle Yellow" color.
I used to have what I thought was a working preloader, even though it didn't actually worked. I figured now was the time to FINALLY put in a working preloader.
Oh, and if your internet connection is slow, we got a special treat for you! As the game loads, you get to see what files are being loaded.
-Minor changes made to in-game background (3D effect is slightly better).
-Minor changes to Datacomb Intro, including the addition of sound.
-Fixed bug where the ship's health would reset to default value during bonus stage.-Fixed bug where you couldn't turn the wave animation off (stupid mistake I made in the last version).
-Settings screen has new background.
-The switches in the settings screen have been improved.
-Pause feature now has an option to return to the main menu.
-You can now pause during the bonus stage.
-The amount of health you gain from passing through the castle has been decreased.
-Easter Egg has been added into the game! Can you find it? HINT: Try clicking one of the letters in "Aqua Rhapsody" on the title screen.
